Job Description
We're looking for a Product Manager to bring innovation and renovation projects to life for our Retail Branded channel. You'll use customer, consumer and technical insight to deliver best-in-class products to market, working as a product manager at the center of a cross-functional group of internal stakeholders to get things delivered on time and in full. You'll write your own pre-reads to bring projects through our PLC process (with support and a check from your Portfolio Manager), and you'll own your projects end to end, from the first brief to the moment they land on shelf. The position can be based in either Holten or Utrecht, but regular travel to the other location is required. In addition, you are expected to be present in Wageningen when needed. What you'll be responsible for: Deliver projects end to end (these can be innovations, renovations, roll-outs, or business continuity projects). Initiate project kick-off, lead the cross-functional team, create the product brief and back-planning, create artwork and product assets and steer the project through every stage of PLC, on time, in full, and to the highest standards. Take an active role in product tastings. Attend tastings for projects in your channel at one of our locations e.g. Wageningen or Holten, providing feedback. Drive product development through data and consumer insight. Bring (consumer, category and financial) data and consumer insight into the heart of your projects, and use them to actively shape and improve product development, not just to validate decisions after the fact. Build the business case. Create the business case for your projects, using data to support the decisions behind them. Organize testing. Set up product and consumer testing (together with Head of Insights) where relevant, to validate decisions before they go to market. Own article and master data. Create accurate article and master data for your projects. Brief and manage artwork. Brief and manage product artwork and marketing assets (together with brand experience team), including photography, making sure it meets our quality standards. Coordinate product localisation. You are responsible to set the Master version of your project briefs and product concept. You are then responsible to coordinate the localization and translations by local markets (in line with masters). Complete data submissions. Complete Brandbank data submissions, and master data and portal submissions (via Sales). Write decision-ready pre-reads. Write your own pre-reads to bring projects through PLC governance, with support and a check from your Portfolio Manager. Evaluate in-market performance. Track how your projects perform once they're live, and feed learnings back into the next project. What you'll bring Interest in plant-based products and motivation to improve them further Ability to work independently and take ownership, while knowing when to involve others Strong project management skills and experience working cross-functionally Ability to stay structured and maintain overview in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience using data and building business cases to support decisions Ability to structure complex situations into clear actions and next steps Key requirements Initial experience in marketing, product management, or project management Experience in FMCG, retail, or food is a plus Experience working on cross-functional projects is a plus Familiarity with PLC / stage-gate processes is a plus Proficiency in English (written and spoken) Why apply for this role? Requirements
The role requires initial experience in marketing, product management, or project management, along with strong project management, communication, stakeholder management, and data-based decision-making skills. Experience in FMCG, retail, food, cross-functional projects, or PLC / stage-gate processes is advantageous; proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
