About the role As a Senior AI Solutions Engineer at TKH AI Technology, you will lead AI initiatives from initial problem definition through implementation and production deployment. This is a four-month fixed-term position, 32-40 hours per week. You may work on internal products and capabilities, or on solutions developed with TKH operating companies. In either setting, you will bring together stakeholders, clarify objectives and constraints, and steer the work towards a practical outcome. There may be scope to extend the position beyond February 2027, depending on our needs at that time, but we cannot guarantee this. Candidates should apply on the basis that the position ends on 28 February 2027. What you will do Lead AI initiatives from discovery and technical design through implementation, deployment and handover. Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand problems, clarify requirements and agree on realistic outcomes. Translate needs into feasible solution designs, project scopes and delivery plans. Build and deploy solutions across areas such as machine learning, computer vision, language models, agents and intelligent automation. Select appropriate existing platforms, models and tools rather than building everything from scratch. Coordinate engineers and other contributors, manage technical dependencies and keep delivery moving. Communicate technical options, limitations, costs and risks clearly. Challenge assumptions—including whether AI is the right solution—and resolve ambiguity before it becomes unnecessary work. Work with product and platform teams to turn relevant project outcomes into reusable capabilities. Contribute to technical reviews, engineering standards and the development of less-experienced colleagues. Job requirements What we are looking for Substantial professional experience delivering AI or machine-learning solutions, typically five years or more. Broad knowledge of modern AI and software engineering, with deeper expertise in at least one relevant area. Strong Python skills and practical experience with relevant AI/ML libraries and frameworks. Experience taking AI solutions beyond experimentation and into production use. Ability to design complete solutions, including data, models, APIs, integration, deployment and monitoring. Experience leading technical projects or substantial workstreams involving multiple contributors and stakeholders. Strong communication skills: you can ask useful questions, challenge assumptions and explain complex subjects clearly. A pragmatic approach focused on solving the actual problem rather than promoting a particular technology. Ability to work independently when the initial direction or requirements are incomplete. A relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience. Availability to work from our Amsterdam office at least three days per week. Useful experience Experience in several of the following would be beneficial, but we do not expect expertise in all of them: Computer vision and deep learning LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation and agentic systems Classical machine learning and data science AI-enabled automation and system integration Cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure MLOps, model serving, monitoring and CI/CD APIs, containers and production software development Consulting, stakeholder management or cross-organisational delivery Dutch language skills The profile that fits this role You combine technical credibility with the ability to create clarity and momentum across a project. You are comfortable moving between stakeholder discussions, technical design and hands-on implementation. You can go deep where necessary without losing sight of the problem, the people involved or the practical path to delivery.

Requirements
