YOUR ROLE. Senior Surveyors at Deep work on exciting hydrographic and geophysical projects for new developments of offshore windfarms, salvage, large infrastructural projects and climate adaptation or coastal defence work for a wide variety of clients. Deep is specialised in the nearshore marine zones and inland waterways and has an ambition to be a planet proof sustainable survey company in the next few years. When you join us, you will operate mainly in Europe, but Deep’s aim is to have fun at work and therefore we always look for international projects to challenge Deepers to go out to places we haven’t been before. Good examples are our Antarctica survey, port surveys in Djibouti, or an UXO survey in Taiwan. RESPONSIBILITIES. Survey Operations: Execute survey operations in line with internal procedures and client specifications. Vessel Mobilisation: Mobilise and calibrate survey vessels. Data Processing: Process hydrographic survey data, create charts, and write reports. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain measuring instruments and survey equipment. Administrative Duties: Handle administrative requirements at the project level. WHAT WE ASK. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ocean Technology, Oceanography, Hydrography, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Experience with Qinsy In possession of a valid driver’s license (B, preferably incl. BE) Pro-active, practical and flexible mindset Professional, solution-oriented attitude Fluency in English, both written and verbal In possession of an EU-residency/work permit WHAT WE OFFER. Core Responsibilities
Conduct hydrographic and geophysical survey operations according to internal procedures and client specifications, including mobilizing and calibrating survey vessels. Process survey data, create charts and reports, maintain equipment, and handle project-level administrative duties.
Requirements
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in ocean technology, oceanography, hydrography, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience, along with at least five years in a similar role and experience with Qinsy. Applicants must have an EU residency or work permit, a valid category B driver’s license (BE preferred), fluent written and spoken English, and a proactive, practical, flexible, professional, and solution-oriented approach.
