YOUR ROLE. As a Senior Geophysical Surveyor working within Deep you will be responsible for all geophysical related tasks/aspects of a project. This includes everything from project preparations (geological desktop study, survey planning etc.), execution of the fieldwork and data analysis (QA/QC), to data processing, reporting and charting. You should be able to collaborate with colleagues as part of a (project) team but also feel comfortable working independently without supervision. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES. Survey Operations: Execute various geophysical survey operations in line with internal procedures and client specifications. Vessel Mobilisation: Mobilise and calibrate survey vessels. Data Processing: Process geophysical survey data, create charts, and write reports. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain measuring instruments and survey equipment. Administrative Duties: Handle administrative requirements at the project level. WHO WE LOOK FOR. We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics or Geology, with at least five years experience in a similar position. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team are essentials. WHAT WE ASK. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Geophysics, Geology or a related Earth Science. 5+ years of experience in a similar position. In possession of a valid driver’s license (B, preferably incl. BE). Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of side scan sonar, sub bottom profiler, magnetometer acquisition and processing. Core competencies: accurate, very flexible, a team-player, good interpersonal skills. WHAT WE OFFER. Core Responsibilities

Plan and execute geophysical survey projects, including geological desktop studies, vessel mobilization and calibration, fieldwork, and equipment maintenance. Process and quality-check survey data, prepare charts and reports, and handle project-level administrative tasks.

Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related Earth Science field and at least five years of experience in a similar role are required. Candidates should have a valid category B driver's license (preferably including BE), fluent written and spoken English, knowledge of side-scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler, and magnetometer acquisition and processing, and strong interpersonal, teamwork, accuracy, and flexibility skills.
