As a Senior Planner, you will be part of a professional logistics organization and play a key role within the Planning & Logistics department at the Lochem manufacturing site. This position combines advanced system expertise with operational planning support and serves as a critical link between planning processes, production, and business systems. The primary focus of the role is acting as the SAP key user and subject matter expert, supporting system users, resolving complex issues, and ensuring optimal system performance during ongoing and upcoming implementation activities. In addition, you will provide operational support to the planning team and serve as a backup for key planning and logistics functions when required. You will work within a logistics team consisting of schedulers, logistics specialists, administrative staff, and a Planning & Logistics Manager, to whom you will report directly. Responsibilities Act as the key user and system expert for SAP, including Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Operational Manufacturing Planning (OMP). Manage and support integrations between SAP and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Provide second-line support and troubleshooting for complex system-related issues across the planning department and manufacturing site. Support business processes and operational activities within the planning and logistics function. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the optimization of planning and logistics workflows. Provide guidance and support during system implementations and change initiatives. Serve as a backup for the Planning & Logistics Manager when required. Act as a backup for production schedulers across different production areas within the Lochem site. Assist in the development, validation, and maintenance of work instructions and operational procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity of operations and effective planning execution. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree (HBO/WO level) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience within a manufacturing environment is required; experience in the food or dairy industry is a strong advantage. Experience supporting or participating in ERP implementation projects is highly preferred. Experience working within an RFC or similar manufacturing environment is considered beneficial. Deep and advanced knowledge of SAP, including configuration, processes, and transaction functionality. Hands-on experience with SAP EWM and OMP modules. Understanding of SAP integrations with MES systems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to analyze system behavior, identify root causes, and solve complex operational and technical challenges. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize logistics operations. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support and coach colleagues. Flexible, proactive, and capable of performing effectively under pressure. Critical thinker with a hands-on and entrepreneurial attitude. Fluent in Dutch and English. Extensive SAP expertise is the most important requirement for this position. Candidates should understand not only how to execute SAP transactions, but also how the underlying processes and system logic work. Experience with large-scale system implementation projects is strongly preferred. Availability for a full-time, 38-hour workweek is highly preferred.

Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field is required, along with manufacturing experience and advanced SAP expertise, including hands-on SAP EWM and OMP experience. Candidates should understand SAP processes and system logic, be able to support ERP implementations and MES integrations, communicate effectively, and be fluent in Dutch and English.
