About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our CISO Cyber Defence team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in scaling our detection and response capabilities through the development and deployment of advanced machine learning solutions. Your primary focus will be designing, building, and implementing agentic workflows that enhance automation and strengthen our security controls. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify cybersecurity challenges, develop data-driven solutions, and translate complex data insights into actionable strategies. Your expertise will contribute to building resilient systems capable of countering sophisticated cyber threats, especially in an environment where adversaries increasingly utilize AI techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on transformative projects that directly impact the security posture of the bank, providing a meaningful and impactful career path. Core Responsibilities

Design and deploy machine learning models and agentic workflows to automate cybersecurity detection and response and strengthen security controls. Analyze and prepare large datasets, collaborate with stakeholders to turn insights into security strategies, and mentor colleagues while keeping current with advances in machine learning and cybersecurity.

Requirements

Requires a quantitative MSc, PhD, or equivalent experience in data science, computer science, or a related field, plus at least three years of professional data science or machine learning experience. Candidates should have strong programming, machine learning, statistics, ETL, and big data expertise, experience implementing agentic workflows, and effective communication and problem-solving skills.
