Job Description As a consultant, you will be embedded in a high-tech innovation environment, contributing to the design, testing, and maintenance of non-graphical user interface hardware for complex medical systems and subsystems. You will provide electronic engineering expertise across requirements definition, hardware design, prototype assessment, functional testing, troubleshooting, risk assessment, and product lifecycle activities. You will work closely with engineering, quality, compliance, purchasing, verification, and project management teams while taking ownership of your assigned units from design through product support. Responsibilities Define technical requirements for non-graphical user interface hardware at system, subsystem, and unit level. Translate product performance needs and field feedback into clear engineering requirements and design improvements. Assess supplier designs and prototypes, identify technical gaps, and follow through on agreed improvements. Build test setups and perform feasibility, functional, performance, and reliability testing. Collect, analyse, and interpret test data to support engineering decisions and product changes. Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions for electronic subsystems and components. Perform structured risk and safety assessments while considering product reliability and compliance needs. Coordinate with mechanical engineering, quality, compliance, purchasing, verification, lifecycle management, and project management teams throughout the development process. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in electronics engineering, product development, or a similar engineering field. Proven experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electronic products after release. Practical experience with non-graphical user interfaces, electronic control units, operator interfaces, components, or related hardware subsystems. Strong experience with hands-on laboratory investigations, test setup development, feasibility testing, and performance analysis. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic systems, interpret technical results, and assess subsystem or component reliability. Experience translating system or field application needs into unit-level requirements and design decisions. Previous collaboration with external suppliers, including prototype reviews, technical discussions, and design follow-up. Knowledge of structured engineering processes covering requirements, verification, risk assessment, change control, and technical documentation. Familiarity with simulation, requirements management, configuration management, or product lifecycle management tools is an advantage. Experience in medical devices, industrial electronics, consumer electronics, or another safety-sensitive product environment is an advantage. Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly across multidisciplinary teams. Requirements

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with at least five years of relevant engineering experience. Candidates should have hands-on experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic products, plus supplier collaboration and familiarity with structured engineering processes.
