HR Business Partner (32–40 hours) Location: Amsterdam (up to 1 day per week working from home) Salary: €4,800 – €6,000 gross per month (based on full-time) Start date: As soon as possible I'm looking for my successor After a year as a contractor, the foundations of HR at Boat Bike Tours are firmly in place. Now it's time for the next step: taking our HR team to the next level. You'll do this together with our HR team (1 HR Business Partner, 1 HR advisor and 1 intern). Our HR advisor is on maternity leave, so you'll need to roll up your sleeves! Boat Bike Tours is growing, with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, the US and Croatia. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll keep HR true to our core values: ownership, openness, sustainability and customer focus, and help build an HR department that proactively drives growth and professionalisation. What you'll be doing Setting up HR structures (performance management, growth paths, feedback cycles) Supporting teams across all our international locations with roles, responsibilities and development Guiding change and making sure HR policy fits our international organisation Owning our HR processes (recruitment, on/offboarding, learning & development) and tools (Buddee, Homerun) Coordinating feedback cycles and HR data across all locations Helping build an inclusive culture where people feel safe and valued What you bring At least 8 years of HR experience, preferably in a matrix organisation Experience in setting up HR structures and working with international teams Knowledge of HR tools (Buddee, Homerun) is a plus Strategic insight combined with a practical, people-first approach Excellent communication skills (Dutch and English) Self-driven, collaborative and value-driven What we offer A challenging role in an international, growing organisation 8% holiday allowance, pension scheme, 25 holiday days and a study budget Travel allowance + bike scheme One free trip with one of our tours every year Great drinks and fun outings with the team About Boat Bike Tours We're a tour operator for boat & bike holidays, with offices in the Netherlands, Germany, the US and Croatia. Core Responsibilities

Develop HR structures, including performance management, growth paths, and feedback cycles, while supporting teams across international locations with roles, responsibilities, and development. Lead HR processes and tools, guide organisational change, coordinate HR data, and help foster an inclusive culture.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least eight years of HR experience, preferably in a matrix organisation, and experience developing HR structures and working with international teams. They should combine strategic insight with a practical, people-first approach, communicate excellently in Dutch and English, and be self-driven, collaborative, and aligned with the organisation’s values.
