📍 Netherlands (Breukelen) or Germany (Krefeld) 🌍 Central Europe | CAPEX Projects | Engineering Leadership Lead Large-Scale Engineering Projects Across Central Europe Are you an experienced project leader with a passion for delivering complex CAPEX projects in industrial manufacturing environments? We are looking for a Regional Projects Manager – Central Europe to lead a portfolio of engineering and capital investment projects across multiple manufacturing sites in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. In this highly visible role, you will combine strategic project leadership, stakeholder management, and people leadership to ensure the successful delivery of critical business investments. You will lead a team of Project Managers while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and senior business leaders to transform business priorities into safely executed, high-impact projects. What You'll Do Lead Regional CAPEX Projects Oversee a portfolio of capital projects ranging from site improvements to large-scale investments. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to scope and quality expectations. Drive engineering project execution across multiple manufacturing sites in Central Europe. Manage project risks, resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and Lead Project Teams Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and external contractors. Provide direction, support, and governance to ensure consistent project execution. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive Business Alignment Partner with Operations, OPEX, Global CAPEX, Engineering, Procurement, and Site Leadership teams. Support the development of business cases and investment proposals. Ensure alignment between business priorities and project execution across multiple countries and sites. Influence senior stakeholders and facilitate decision-making across a complex matrix organization. What We're Looking For Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline. Extensive experience managing CAPEX projects within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated environments. Strong track record of delivering complex engineering projects and capital investments. Previous people leadership experience, including coaching and developing Project Managers. Strong understanding of project governance, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and contractor management. Experience working across multiple countries and stakeholders within Europe. Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on project execution. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Fluent English. Preferred Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent). Experience with Front-End Loading (FEL) methodologies. Knowledge of European industrial regulations and standards. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Requires a degree in chemical, mechanical, process, or related engineering and extensive experience delivering CAPEX projects in manufacturing or similar industrial environments. Candidates should have people leadership experience, strong project governance and financial skills, European multi-country experience, and fluent English; project management certification and FEL experience are preferred.
