Hematologic diseases afflict millions of Europeans each year. The European Hematology Association (EHA), located in the heart of The Hague (Netherlands), is a non-profit professional association serving clinicians and researchers with an active interest in hematology in Europe and beyond. Our mission is to promote excellence in patient care through education, research and advocacy. Hematology is constantly changing. We help our members stay current by delivering a structured educational program created by hematologists for hematologists. We offer a range of career development programs to help clinicians and researchers grow professionally and personally. We also advocate for hematologists and hematology at local and international levels. As a Membership Intern, you will support the Engagement team to deliver a positive member experience. This includes working across membership services, community engagement, governance activities, CRM management, and data-driven projects. You will work closely with the Membership Care & EBAH Coordinator and Head of Engagement. During this internship you will gain hands-on experience in membership operations, stakeholder engagement, CRM systems, governance processes, community development, data analysis, and international association management. Are you looking for an internship opportunity where you can put your knowledge into practice? Specific tasks include: Support the preparation and coordination of meetings, workshops, stakeholder calls, and congress-related activities. Assist with updating stakeholder contact lists, engagement trackers and CRM-related information. Help organize documentation linked to joint projects, Memorandums of Understanding, event participation, and follow-up actions. Provide administrative support for communication with external stakeholders and internal teams such as Membership, Specialized Working Groups, and Communications. Assist with practical logistics, scheduling, document preparation, and file organization for ongoing Engagement team projects. By joining EHA as an intern, you will gain experience in international stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and administrative support within a professional association working in the field of hematology. Job requirements: Only candidates who are registered at an Educational Institute and live in the Netherlands will be considered. If you are a non-EU/EEA national, a valid work permit for the Netherlands is required. Employment will be subject to the dissolving condition that the employee provides the employer with a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) within eight weeks of the commencement date of their employment. Interest in stakeholder engagement, international collaboration, or health-related associations Basic understanding of membership management, engagement of groups/community Customer care principles Data analysis Understanding of CRM (tools) Specific requirements for this internship: Studying for a MBO (diploma) or HBO (bachelor degree) in Management, Public or Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, Health Management or similar Strong written and verbal communication Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce/Emma Membership) Project Management experience (experience with Monday.com is an added value) Data analysis (Excel, Power BI) Familiarity with online platforms An analytical mindset, attention to detail, the ability to multitask and interest to work collaboratively Finally, we look for someone with enthusiasm for learning and a pro-active attitude. Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled at an educational institution and live in the Netherlands; non-EU/EEA applicants must have a valid Dutch work permit. The role is intended for an MBO or HBO student in a relevant field, with strong communication and Microsoft Office skills, familiarity with CRM and data analysis tools, and an analytical, collaborative, proactive approach.
