Because we work with various customers, you are also expected to be able to adapt to different environments Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for supporting the adoption and optimisation of GitHub across a large organisation. The focus of this role is not on traditional infrastructure operations, but on GitHub, GitHub Actions, workflow automation and developer enablement. You will work closely with engineering teams to improve the way GitHub is configured, used and adopted across the organisation. You will help automate processes, develop and maintain workflows, troubleshoot issues and support teams in making effective use of GitHub. What you will do Develop, maintain and optimise GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD and engineering automation. Configure and manage GitHub repositories, organisations, permissions, settings and policies. Automate repetitive processes using GitHub CLI, Bash scripting and APIs. Create and maintain scripts and tooling to improve developer workflows and operational efficiency. Troubleshoot GitHub Actions, workflow and automation issues. Support teams in adopting GitHub and GitHub Actions consistently across the organisation. Help establish best practices around GitHub configuration, workflows, access and automation. Analyse workflow and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers and other technical stakeholders. Document solutions, configurations and automation processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's GitHub platform and engineering practices. What You Bring to the Position 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Automation Engineering. Strong practical experience with GitHub: GitHub Actions & workflows. Strong knowledge of GitHub configuration and settings, including repositories, permissions, secrets, variables and organisation-level configuration. Hands-on experience with GitHub CLI (gh) and command-line tooling. Requirements

Candidates need at least five years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Automation Engineering, along with strong practical experience using GitHub Actions and workflows. They should also have strong knowledge of GitHub configuration and settings, hands-on experience with GitHub CLI and command-line tools, and strong Bash scripting and automation skills.
