We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Commercial Vehicle After-Sales Trainer Engineer to develop and deliver technical training programs for our customers, service partners, and internal teams. This role is crucial for ensuring service excellence, enhancing technical capabilities, and supporting ongoing product knowledge development in the commercial vehicle sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver technical training modules for commercial vehicles (e.g., trucks and buses), with a focus on diagnostics, maintenance, repair procedures, service manuals, and practical applications.

  • Provide clear and effective explanations of technical training materials to end users, including service engineers, technicians, after-sales teams, and dealership personnel.

  • Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions for service technicians, after-sales teams, and dealership personnel.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and customer support teams to keep training content up to date and aligned with the latest technologies and product developments.

  • Deliver hands-on demonstrations, technical simulations, and practical assessments to ensure effective knowledge transfer and confirm learning outcomes.

  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, tests, and performance analysis.

  • Maintain accurate training records and generate regular reports on training participation, progress, performance, and certification.

  • Support field service teams by assisting with technical troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and collecting field feedback to improve service quality and training content.

  • Contribute to the creation of digital training materials, including e-learning modules, instructional videos, technical guides, and interactive learning materials.

  • Create, edit, review, and maintain both technical and non-technical training documentation, ensuring that all materials are accurate, clear, professional, consistent, and easy to understand.

  • Deliver high-quality on-site training sessions for customers and service organizations as required.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, vehicle innovations, new technologies, diagnostic systems, and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify practical and effective solutions to technical and training challenges.

  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing customer requirements, technical situations, training environments, and business priorities.

  • Be hands-on, creative, and practical when developing training solutions, demonstrations, exercises, and troubleshooting approaches.

  • Maintain an open-minded approach and actively collect ideas, experiences, and feedback from technicians and field service teams to continuously improve training methods and technical solutions.

  • Respond professionally and effectively to technical questions, customer concerns, and unexpected situations, providing clear and practical solutions.

  • Demonstrate the ability to simplify complex technical systems, concepts, and diagnostic procedures and explain them in a clear, structured, and easy-to-understand way.

  • Encourage knowledge sharing and two-way communication during training, creating an environment where technicians feel comfortable sharing their practical experience, challenges, and ideas.

  • Continuously improve training methods and materials based on field experience, customer feedback, new technologies, and lessons learned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial vehicle after-sales service or technical training.

  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical circuits, diagnostics tools, and component-level troubleshooting.

  • Excellent presentation, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with training tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.

  • Ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear and engaging manner to diverse audiences.

  • Fluent in English (Chinese or any European language knowledge is a plus).

  • Willingness to travel both domestically and in EU is required.

Requirements

A degree or diploma in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field is required, along with at least three years of commercial vehicle after-sales service or technical training experience. Candidates need strong commercial vehicle systems knowledge, effective presentation and communication skills, fluent English, and willingness to travel domestically and within the EU.
