At Strohm, we're transforming the energy industry with our innovative Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) technology. As a Pipe Completion Engineer, you'll play a critical role in the final phase of our manufacturing process, ensuring every pipe is prepared and ready for successful delivery to customers worldwide.
This is a highly visible role where engineering, safety, quality, and project execution come together. You will own the preparation of all post-production activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to specification.
Our Pipe Completion Engineer works closely with Project Engineering, Production, Operations, and Field Service teams, you'll help turn technical designs into successful project outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Develop project-specific completion plans for pipe cleaning, bore preparation, fitting installation, testing, lifting, transportation, storage, and delivery activities;
- Prepare technical documentation, including work instructions, FAT protocols, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria;
- Coordinate risk assessments, safety reviews, and environmental evaluations, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company procedures;
- Align activities with Project Engineers, Production, Operations, Field Service, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution;
- Support lifting and logistics planning in collaboration with operational teams;
- Drive continuous improvement by optimizing engineering processes, tools, and systems, and contributing to lessons learned and best-practice initiatives.
What you bring:
- A Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Composites, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline;
- 2-5 years of engineering experience, preferably within offshore, oil & gas, construction, or other project-driven technical environments;
- Experience with engineering preparation, operational planning, risk assessments, safety reviews, and FAT coordination;
- Experience with ERP, PLM, PDM, or similar engineering systems;
- Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
