Job Description

📍 SmartSpotter Netherlands, Amsterdam ⌚ 40 hours a week Apply now Data is only valuable if it changes behaviour. Every year, millions in trade and media spending is lost in a “black box” at the shop floor. At SmartSpotter, we make this visible for the largest FMCG brands and retailers. Because SmartSpotter is part of Smollan (the world’s largest field marketing organisation), we combine the speed of crowdsourcing with unmatched execution power. This hybrid proposition is unique — and requires people who dare to make a difference. What do you get? An attractive starting salary (depending on experience) with a challenging bonus structure. A company car (also for private use), company laptop, and phone. A solid pension plan, 8% holiday allowance, and 25 vacation days. Continuous focus on your development, with concrete international growth opportunities within the global Smollan and WPP network. A hybrid workplace: we focus on impact and results, not on presence or fixed office days. Office location on the Amsteldok WPP Campus with a culture of openness, ambition, and of course free snacks and drinks at the office! Apply now What will you do? You are the strategic sparring partner for our key accounts within the Dutch FMCG. You don't sit at the table to report what is happening, but to show what can be done differently. You also ensure that you show current customers where we can further increase the added value. With our measurement processes, you can uncover where brands and retailers miss opportunities on the store floor. You challenge, break through rusty assumptions and translate complex insights into concrete commercial and category advice that directly contributes to growth. You will work in a compact, ambitious team and, together with the commercial director and the local operational team, form the heart of our commercial strategy. Full ownership is the norm: from relationship and turnover to content and quality. You switch directly with (international) SmartSpotter and Smollan colleagues to use best practices and continuously sharpen our proposition. In Short, Your Responsibilities Include Direct key accounts and increase the added value of SmartSpotter. Translate measurement processes into sharp commercial and category advice. Switching with international colleagues to continuously sharpen our proposition. Challenging customers at C-level to optimize execution on the shop floor. This is you! You are on the eve of your seniority and have earned your spurs within FMCG: as a talent at a supplier or retailer. You speak the language of the Category Manager and the Key Account Manager and know how to translate data into shelf yield and more effective promotions. Your network helps, but you convince above all by content, sharpness and pragmaticism. You Also Check The Following Boxes ✅ You have at least a few years of experience at headquarters at an FMCG supplier in the field of, for example, Key Account Management, Retail Media, Trade Marketing or Category management. ✅ You talk effortlessly at C-level and dare to take a different position when the data asks for it. ✅ You proactively deal with developments in the industry and transform them into opportunities. With a view to more customer growth, more customers or a wider range of services. ✅You thrive in an environment with freedom, responsibility and high expectations. Can you make the impact? About SmartSpotter

Industry: Retail

Company size: 11-50 employees

Whether your business is retail stores, retail supply or brand marketing, correctly executed point-of-sale is crucial for success. After all, customers can’t buy from empty shelves or hidden displays. Shoppers won’t buy out-of-date perishables and target audiences may be switched off by poor presentation and incorrect pricing. SmartSpotter helps avoid all these scenarios by helping ensure retailer agreements are fulfilled. Continuously. At initial set-up and throughout a product’s in-store presence. So carefully calculated promotional strategies in order to realise their full potential. How do we do it? By connecting retailers and suppliers to an unrivalled network of field reporters and merchandisers who provide the eyes, insights and hands that keep your retail execution perfect. Faster, more affordably and more efficiently. Our goal is to maximise synergy between retailers and suppliers. On the 25th of November 2030, all agreements made between them have been fulfilled. An additional retail turnover of €5 billion could be generated as a result.
