THE TEAM As part of the Security team at Rosewood Amsterdam, you will play an integral role in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, associates, visitors, and hotel assets. Reporting to the Security Manager and working closely with Security Supervisors, you will collaborate with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Events, and Hotel Management to ensure the highest standards of safety and guest care are maintained at all times. In a luxury hospitality environment, security is about more than protection. YOUR ROLE As a Security Officer, you will help create an environment where guests feel cared for, valued, and secure throughout their stay. Combining professional security expertise with genuine hospitality, you will serve as both a protector and an ambassador of the Rosewood experience. No two days are the same. From conducting security patrols and monitoring hotel operations to assisting international guests and responding to emergencies, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our people, property, and reputation. Through your professionalism, discretion, and service-oriented approach, you will contribute directly to the seamless operation and success of Rosewood Amsterdam. HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, associates, visitors, and hotel property through proactive security monitoring and patrols. Conduct regular security and safety inspections, identifying potential risks and taking preventive action where required. Monitor CCTV, access-control systems, key-control procedures, and restricted areas in accordance with hotel standards. Welcome, assist, and support guests in a professional, friendly, and discreet manner while delivering exceptional hospitality. Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns, ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with hotel procedures. Prepare accurate incident reports and provide clear communication and handovers to colleagues, management, and emergency services when necessary. COULD THIS BE YOU? You hold a valid MBO Level 2 Security Officer qualification or an equivalent recognised security certification. You communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing, and enjoy interacting with guests from diverse cultural backgrounds. You bring experience in security, hospitality, guest services, or luxury customer-facing environments. You have a professional, approachable, and service-oriented attitude, understanding that security and hospitality go hand in hand. You remain calm under pressure, demonstrate sound judgement, and can confidently handle sensitive situations with discretion and integrity. You are flexible and willing to work a rotating schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Core Responsibilities

Maintain a safe environment through patrols, inspections, CCTV and access-control monitoring, and preventive action. Assist guests with professional hospitality, respond to incidents and emergencies, and prepare accurate reports and handovers.

Requirements

Applicants must hold an MBO Level 2 Security Officer qualification or an equivalent recognized security certification, communicate confidently in English, and bring experience in security, hospitality, guest services, or a luxury customer-facing environment. They should be professional, discreet, calm under pressure, and available for rotating shifts that may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
