Together, we Make the Place. THE TEAM As part of the Security team at Rosewood Amsterdam, you will begin your career in luxury hospitality security within a supportive and professional environment. Reporting to the Security Supervisor and Security Manager, you will work closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Events, and Hotel Management while learning from experienced Security Officers. This collaborative team is dedicated to creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, associates, and visitors. Through hands-on experience, coaching, and development opportunities, you will gain valuable exposure to every aspect of hotel security while becoming an integral part of the guest experience. YOUR ROLE As a Junior Security Officer, you will take the first step in building a rewarding career in hotel security. Combining a strong sense of responsibility with a genuine passion for hospitality, you will help maintain a safe environment while delivering professional and friendly service to guests and associates. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will learn the fundamentals of luxury hotel security, including safety monitoring, access control, incident response, and guest assistance. Every shift provides an opportunity to develop your skills, gain practical experience, and contribute to the seamless operation of Rosewood Amsterdam. HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE Conduct security and safety patrols throughout the hotel while helping maintain a secure environment for guests, associates, and visitors. Monitor access points, controlled areas, and hotel activities while identifying and reporting potential risks or unusual situations. Support key-control procedures and learn to operate CCTV and access-control systems in line with hotel standards. Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Support experienced colleagues in responding to incidents, emergencies, and safety-related situations while following established procedures. Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and positive atmosphere by working collaboratively with hotel departments and security team members. COULD THIS BE YOU? You hold a completed MBO Level 2 Security Officer qualification or an equivalent recognised security certification. You are eager to learn, develop your skills, and build a long-term career within security and hospitality. You have a professional appearance and take pride in delivering excellent service to guests and colleagues. You communicate effectively in English and enjoy working in an international and multicultural environment. You are observant, responsible, and able to remain calm and professional in different situations. You are flexible and willing to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Core Responsibilities

Conduct hotel security and safety patrols, monitor access points and controlled areas, and report potential risks or unusual activity. Assist guests professionally and support colleagues with incidents and emergencies while following hotel procedures.

Requirements

Applicants must hold an MBO Level 2 Security Officer qualification or an equivalent recognized security certification. They should be service-oriented, observant, responsible, able to communicate effectively in English, and willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
