About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic Data Science team. In this role, you will lead the development of cutting-edge AI products, working closely with multidisciplinary teams on client projects and internal initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing scalable, production-level machine learning and deep learning solutions, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. You will also play a key role in guiding data scientists through model deployment processes, optimizing algorithms, and ensuring seamless integration into cloud environments. Additionally, you will be involved in knowledge sharing through training sessions, internal meetings, and external conferences, as well as contributing to thought leadership through blog articles and press releases. Qualifications MSc degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field 2-4 years of experience in developing production-quality machine learning and deep learning pipelines and models Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and expertise in a specific domain such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or Natural Language Processing Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in at least one of the following languages: Scala, C++, Java Hands-on experience with database management languages such as SQL and PostgreSQL Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure Knowledge of Unix-based command-line tools and DevOps practices, including Git, Docker, and Kubernetes Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers Prior experience in management consulting is a strong plus Willingness to travel and work with local and international clients Fluency in spoken and written English; proficiency or strong willingness to learn Dutch Responsibilities Lead and mentor internal teams in the development of innovative AI products and solutions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on client projects, providing expert guidance on AI and machine learning topics Design and make architectural decisions for cloud-based AI and data science environments Develop and deploy production-level machine learning and deep learning models with solid software engineering practices Guide data scientists in scaling models into production, including parallelization, optimization, tuning, and testing Organize and deliver training sessions, lead internal meetings, and participate in external industry events Engage in client workshops, presentations, and project planning to ensure successful project delivery Contribute to thought leadership by writing blog articles, presenting at conferences, and issuing press releases Benefits Competitive salary package complemented by performance-related bonuses Mobility budget to support flexible working arrangements Comprehensive hospital insurance coverage Opportunities for professional development through training and mentorship programs International work environment fostering diversity and inclusion Supportive and innovative workplace culture promoting well-being and entrepreneurship Participation in global projects with leading clients Equal Opportunity Sia is an equal opportunity employer. Core Responsibilities

Lead the development and deployment of production-grade machine learning and deep learning solutions, including cloud architecture, model optimization, testing, and integration. Mentor data scientists and engineers, collaborate with client teams, deliver training and presentations, and contribute to thought leadership through articles and conferences.

Requirements

Requires an MSc in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field, plus 2–4 years of experience building production-quality machine learning and deep learning pipelines and models. Candidates should have strong machine learning fundamentals, Python proficiency and experience with another listed programming language, database and cloud experience, DevOps and Unix tools, big data familiarity, mentoring experience, and fluency in English; Dutch proficiency or willingness to learn is also expected.
