As a Finance Intern, you will support the Hotel Business Control team and gain exposure to both finance and accounting across PPHE Hotel Group's six hotels in the Netherlands. Working closely with Hotel Business Controllers, you will contribute to financial analysis, reporting, cost control projects, and operational finance activities, helping drive informed business decisions across the region. Responsibilities Prepare business control analyses, reports, and presentations under the guidance of the Hotel Business Controllers Support recurring and ad hoc financial reporting activities Assist with projects relating to Rooms and Food & Beverage cost control across the Dutch portfolio Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and reporting quality Support income audit activities and revenue verification processes Assist with accounts payable and purchase-to-pay processes Assist with accounts receivable and order-to-cash processes Support month-end closing activities and ensure deadlines are achieved Assist with the administration and support of procurement systems, including Fourth and Adaco Follow up on purchasing and requisition queries and escalate issues where required Collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple hotel locations Gain exposure to commercial decision-making through financial analysis and business performance reviews Essential Requirements Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Economics, or a related field Available for a minimum internship period of five months Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong analytical and numerical skills with an eagerness to develop advanced Excel capabilities Fluent in English, both written and spoken Flexible and willing to travel between our hotels in Amsterdam, Lijnden, Utrecht, and Eindhoven when required Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively Interest in hospitality, finance, and business performance Shares our values of Trust, Respect, Teamwork, Enthusiasm, Commitment, and Care Preferred Requirements Understanding of finance, accounting, or business control principles Experience working with Excel and financial data analysis Interest in hospitality industry trends, systems, and technology Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Dutch language skills are an advantage Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different departments Your Benefits And Perks Tasty meal during every shift Receive €250 for referring another intern Real-world experience in a dynamic hospitality environment Learning and development opportunities to build valuable skills Career opportunities across our hotels and corporate teams throughout Europe Heavily discounted hotel rates 50% discount in our restaurants and bars Access to exclusive employee discounts and offers Fun social events and team celebrations We provide a monthly allowance of €750, exceeding Horeca CAO (BOL) guidelines, with full coverage of job-related expenses. Core Responsibilities

Support the Hotel Business Control team with financial analysis, reporting, presentations, cost control projects, and operational finance activities across six hotels in the Netherlands. Assist with income audits, accounts payable and receivable, month-end closing, procurement systems, and process improvements while collaborating with hotel stakeholders.

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in a relevant field and be available for an internship of at least five months. They should have basic Microsoft Office skills, strong analytical and numerical abilities, fluent English, flexibility to travel between hotels, and an organized, proactive approach; Dutch and prior finance or data-analysis experience are advantageous.
