Role Description The Inside Sales & Operations Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Leiden, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role oversees daily inside sales activities, including managing incoming inquiries, preparing quotations, and following up with existing and potential clients to support revenue growth. The position coordinates operational processes, such as order handling, shipment planning, documentation, and liaison with carriers, agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate execution. The manager monitors service performance, addresses operational issues, and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving. The role also supports process improvement, data analysis, and reporting to optimize logistics operations and support strategic decisions. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, track performance, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to coordinate shipments, manage workflows, and ensure efficient logistics execution. Candidates should possess Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills to build long-term relationships, handle escalations, and maintain service quality. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with clients, carriers, agents, and internal teams across different countries and cultures. Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management, preferably with international or automotive-sector exposure. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment from Leiden, managing priorities independently and within a team. Proficiency with common office software and logistics or ERP systems; strong organizational and time-management abilities. Post-secondary education in logistics, business, supply chain, or a related field is beneficial; additional industry certifications are an advantage.

Core Responsibilities

Oversee inside sales activities, including responding to inquiries, preparing quotations, and following up with clients, while coordinating order handling, shipment planning, documentation, and logistics partners. Monitor service performance, resolve operational issues, maintain customer satisfaction, and support process improvement, data analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management is sought, preferably with international or automotive-sector exposure. Candidates should have strong analytical, operational, customer service, communication, organizational, and time-management abilities, along with proficiency in office software and logistics or ERP systems; post-secondary education in a related field is beneficial.
