ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage/supervise all accounting activities for Morrison Express Netherlands, including day to day operations in accounts payable, accounts receivable, General Ledger, Treasury, financial reporting, internal control, local GAAP/ Corp. policies & SOP’s compliance and tax filings. Manage/supervise accounting team of ~5 people, including hiring new staff, train and coach current staff and manage performance reviews. Monthly salary processing in collaboration with HR. Responsible for timely & accurate monthly financial closing according to the Corp. set target dates, together with necessary profitability/variance analysis and financial packages. Perform treasury functions, including cash management of cash flow planning to ensure sufficient funds available to support smooth operations plus accounts receivable/credit control management. Liaise with external auditors to complete the audit and filing of the annual financial statements of the Dutch legal entity. Work with other Morrison Express accounting teams to ensure that margin on sales to clients are correctly allocated within the group. Liaise with the local government agencies, bankers, solicitors, company secretary and suppliers for financial and administrative related matters. Streamline finance/accounting process flows/SOP’s when needed. Special tasks/projects/analysis as assigned by Management. Respond to corporate information requests and ensure that the Dutch legal entity remains compliant with corporate policies. Inform Management and Corporate HQ about the latest developments in Finance & Accounting in The Netherlands. Qualifications and Experience: Studies in economics/business administration with a focus on finance or comparable commercial qualifications. Minimum 10 years ’experience in finance/accounting/audit. Experience with leading team. Analytical skills and high degree of accuracy. Strong communication skills. Good command of English, both written and oral. Dutch would be a plus. Team player, eager to learn and show initiative. Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiar with Dutch compliance requirements e.g. VAT, Corporate Income tax, Payroll etc. Freight forwarding / contract logistics experience would be a plus ERP system experience including Payables, Receivables, General ledger ideally using CW1 [Cargowise] Experience in execution or leadership of Accounts Payable / Receivables processes desirable What We Offer Profit Share Program: We win together! Core Responsibilities

Manage the Netherlands accounting function and a team of approximately five, overseeing payables, receivables, general ledger, treasury, reporting, compliance, tax filings, payroll coordination, and timely monthly close. Coordinate audits and financial matters with external parties and corporate teams, manage cash flow and credit control, and improve finance processes and reporting.

Requirements

Requires a degree-level or comparable commercial qualification focused on economics, business administration, or finance, at least 10 years of finance, accounting, or audit experience, and experience leading a team. Candidates should have strong analytical, accuracy, communication, and English-language skills, knowledge of Dutch compliance requirements, and MS Office proficiency; Dutch, logistics experience, CargoWise, and accounts payable or receivable process leadership are advantageous.
