Albert Heijn Tech (Albert Heijn, Etos, Gall & Gall) is looking for an IT Risk & Compliance Engineer to help shape how we manage technology risk for today’s reality and for what’s coming next. This Is How You Will Reinvent Food Retail. You set the direction for our IT risk frameworks and how the organization manages risk. You bring deep expertise in IT risk and control and understand today’s regulatory and control reality inside out. You anticipate where risk is heading, from AI and emerging technology to evolving regulation and build for that next reality. You modernize compliance by using AI, automation, and control-by-design to make risk management smarter, faster, and more scalable. What You’ll Do Act as the go-to subject-matter expert on IT risk and control, the person the organization turns to for a clear, authoritative read on where real risk sits and what to do about it. Design and evolve our IT risk and control frameworks so they stay ahead of regulation, technology change, and the way AH Tech builds and operates. Anticipate emerging risk, including AI and other new technologies and translate it into practical guidance, controls, and framework updates before it becomes a problem. Modernize and automate compliance: shift from manual, repetitive control work toward control-by-design, continuous monitoring, and AI-supported tooling. Apply AI and automation to the risk function itself from evidence gathering to control testing to reporting -to make it faster, more consistent, and more scalable. Advise senior stakeholders (up to C-level) on risk posture and framework maturity, with a view that looks forward, not only at the current state. Set the standard for how controls are evidenced and remediated, and coach control owners and teams to meet it. Drive and coordinate control execution and issue closure where needed ,keeping it lean and increasingly automated rather than manual and repetitive. Act as the expert reference point for internal and external assurance activities and audits. As IT Risk & Compliance Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening the way AH Tech manages technology risk across a complex and evolving landscape. You will work with stakeholders across technology, product, security, control, and leadership to ensure our risk and compliance approach remains relevant, effective, and future-ready. The recipe for maximum impact 5+ years of work experience in IT Risk, Assurance & Advisory, Audit, or a related field within a large, complex organization; Deep, demonstrable expertise in IT risk and control frameworks and you understand the current reality thoroughly and apply it with judgement, not just by the book; A genuine forward-looking mindset: you see how risk, technology, and regulation are evolving and build for that reality, not only the one in front of you; Real affinity for AI, both as an emerging risk domain you can assess and govern, and as a tool you actively use to modernize and automate risk and compliance work; A strong bias toward control-by-design, automation, and continuous monitoring over manual, repetitive control execution; The credibility and communication skills to be the trusted expert for senior stakeholders, up to C-level; A critical, constructive mindset, able to challenge and guide the organization while keeping solutions practical; The ability to influence, guide, and coordinate others without direct authority (this is an expert role, not a people-management one); Relevant certification such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, or RE is a plus. Requirements

Requires at least five years of experience in IT risk, assurance and advisory, audit, or a related field in a large, complex organization, with demonstrable expertise in IT risk and control frameworks. Candidates should be forward-looking, comfortable applying AI and automation to risk work, able to influence senior stakeholders and coordinate others, and ideally hold a relevant certification such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, or RE.
