Are you an experienced IT Platform Engineer with a strong software engineering background and a passion for cloud-native platforms, automation, and data? You will become part of the Enterprise Data Lake team, where you'll help build and improve the bank's cloud-based data platform using modern engineering practices and Azure technologies. What you'll do As an IT Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Enterprise Data Lake platform. Working closely with engineers, architects, product owners, and security specialists, you'll contribute to delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities include: Developing robust cloud-native software solutions Building and maintaining scalable Azure-based data platforms Applying software engineering best practices (SOLID principles, Design Patterns, Domain-Driven Design) Implementing Infrastructure as Code and DevOps methodologies Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines Ensuring software quality through automated testing Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders Contributing to continuous improvement and mentoring team members where needed What we're looking for We're looking for an engineer who enjoys building reliable software and has experience throughout the complete software development lifecycle. Required experience Strong experience with object-oriented programming (Python preferred) Experience developing cloud-based applications (Azure preferred) Experience with Databricks and cloud SDKs Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code solutions Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD Experience applying SOLID principles and software design patterns Experience with automated testing (Pytest is a plus) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ownership mentality and a proactive attitude Nice to have Experience with Unity Catalog Experience working within enterprise-scale data platforms Financial sector experience is considered an advantage Why join? Core Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain a secure, scalable Azure-based Enterprise Data Lake platform, building cloud-native software and implementing Infrastructure as Code, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Ensure software quality through automated testing, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement and team mentoring.

Requirements

Candidates should have strong object-oriented software engineering experience, preferably with Python, and experience developing cloud applications, preferably on Azure, using Databricks and cloud SDKs. They should also have experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools, DevOps, CI/CD, software design principles, and automated testing, along with strong analytical, communication, and ownership skills.
