About The Role Join Strohm as Our Next CAD Technician! (1-year contract) Bring complex engineering designs to life and help shape the technical drawings behind our international energy projects. As our CAD Technician at Strohm, you are an important part of our Project Engineering team, delivering fit-for-purpose Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) solutions for onshore and subsea applications in the global energy industry. Working closely with our Engineers, you translate technical input into accurate 3D CAD models, General Arrangement (GA) drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings. Your work supports both commercial and development projects and ensures our designs are clearly documented, consistent and ready for manufacturing and project execution. In this role, you will: Create 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings for TCP components and systems; Produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings for complete TCP systems, including associated ancillary equipment; Develop detailed packing, lifting and transportation drawings for TCP on equipment such as reels and subsea pallets; Revise and update existing drawings to accurately incorporate engineering and design changes; Act as a gatekeeper for CAD standards, ensuring correct templates, approved drawing processes and proper use of Windchill across the engineering team; Apply Strohm's equipment numbering methodology consistently and maintain the related technical documentation. What you bring: A vocational technical education (MTS/MBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a comparable discipline; Experience with 3D CAD software; Creo/ProEngineer is strongly preferred, while Inventor; SolidWorks or similar software is also relevant; Experience with Windchill or a comparable PLM system is an advantage; A precise and structured approach with a strong eye for detail and technical accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively within an engineering team. Core Responsibilities

Create and maintain 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and General Arrangement drawings for Thermoplastic Composite Pipe systems and related equipment. Manage drawing revisions and technical documentation, and uphold CAD standards, drawing processes, and equipment numbering practices.

Requirements

A vocational technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a comparable discipline is required, along with experience using 3D CAD software; Creo/ProEngineer is strongly preferred. Windchill or comparable PLM experience is an advantage, and candidates should demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and effective English communication and teamwork.
