Role Description The Project Lead role is an on-site position based in Wijchen. The Project Lead oversees end-to-end project execution: launch and deliver NPI projects with the team. Start with an accurate cost estimate for the NRE portion and the final unit price. Deliver the feasibility and industrialization phases. Deliver an industrialized process to production while coordinating with the customer, the Sales Organisation, Supply Chain team and Operations. The Project Lead is responsible for planning through delivery, ensuring that customer requirements, quality standards, and timelines are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project schedules and budgets, and maintaining clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders. The role involves monitoring technical progress, identifying risks and mitigation actions, and driving continuous improvement in project workflows and documentation. The Project Lead also contributes to process optimization according to Green Belt principle and Lean manufacturing, and helps align project outcomes with the company’s strategic and operational goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related technical field; experience with laser processing or high-tech manufacturing is an advantage. 5-10 years experience in managing projects, preferably in a international environment. Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling and risk management. Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Charts, APQP and experience with implementing these. Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and collaborating with engineering, production, and quality departments. Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex technical and organizational challenges. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fluent or Native speaker in Dutch language and fluent in English are both manditory. Core Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end new product introduction projects, from cost estimation and feasibility through industrialization and transfer of processes to production. Coordinate customers and cross-functional internal teams, manage schedules and budgets, monitor technical progress and risks, and drive process improvement while meeting quality and delivery requirements.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related technical field, along with 5–10 years of project management experience, preferably internationally. Candidates must be fluent in Dutch and English and have strong project management, cross-functional coordination, analytical, and communication skills; knowledge of PFMEA, Control Charts, and APQP is also required, while laser processing or high-tech manufacturing experience is an advantage.
