Job Description

The Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Marketing team in achieving business objectives. This position involves a mix of administrative, organizational, external events and customer-facing tasks to ensure smooth operations and enhanced customer experience. Optics11 is a world leader in fiber optic sensing technology for ultra-sensitive early warning systems. Optics11 recently closed a €17 million investment round. About the role: As Marketing Assistant, you will support the day-to-day execution of our Underwater Security marketing activities. You will help deliver campaigns, keep sales and marketing materials up to date, and coordinate events from preparation through follow-up. What will you do? Support the execution of marketing campaigns for our Underwater Security portfolio, including content, LinkedIn, email and website updates. Create and maintain marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, promotional content and event materials using approved messaging and templates. Coordinate conferences, trade shows and customer events, including registrations, travel, accommodation, logistics, suppliers and exhibition materials. Support event promotion, attendee coordination and on-site activities, including welcoming visitors and connecting prospects with the right Sales or technical colleagues. Manage event and campaign contacts in HubSpot, ensuring accurate data, clear next steps and timely handover to Sales. Keep marketing calendars, tasks and deadlines on track, coordinating inputs and approvals across internal teams and external suppliers. Support supplier, invoice and event expense administration and compile basic campaign and event reporting. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Professional working proficiency in Dutch is an advantage. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g. social media platforms, email marketing tools). Experience in a fast-paced, technical environment with strong attention to detail. Facilitative, supportive, and solution-oriented mindset. Enthusiastic, flexible, and resilient under pressure. Ability to set priorities effectively and adapt to changing needs. Team player who enjoys supporting and collaborating with others. We are seeking candidates who are already residing in the Netherlands.

Core Responsibilities

Support marketing campaigns for the Underwater Security portfolio, maintain marketing materials and coordinate conferences, trade shows, and customer events. Manage campaign and event contacts in HubSpot, coordinate schedules and approvals, support administrative tasks, and compile basic reporting.

Requirements

Requires at least an HBO-level education, three years of experience in a similar support role, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and excellent written and spoken English. Candidates should be proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office, have basic digital marketing knowledge, and be detail-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and already residing in the Netherlands; professional working proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
