We’re looking for a motivated Business Developer who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, closing deals and turning market insights into commercial success. This role is suited to someone who already has commercial experience, enjoys taking ownership, and wants to develop their career in an international environment where initiative and entrepreneurial thinking are valued. What You’ll Build Grow the business: Identify new commercial opportunities, develop leads and help expand Zovea Pet Care in existing and emerging markets. Build lasting partnerships: Build and develop relationships with customers and partners, establishing long-term collaborations that drive mutual growth and strengthen Zovea Pet Care’s position in the market. Develop your trading mindset: Keep abreast of market developments, pricing, supply and demand, and commercial trends. Use your curiosity and market knowledge to identify opportunities and facilitate successful deals. Drive new business: Manage the sales process from prospecting and initial discussions through to negotiation, closing deals and developing long-term relationships. Spend time in the field, visiting prospective clients and attending trade fairs across the Benelux, Scandinavia and the UK. Connecting people and opportunities: Build your network, meet new partners, and create value through strong communication and a keen commercial eye. Take charge of your opportunities: Take responsibility for your pipeline, your customers and your results, whilst continuing to develop your commercial skills. Who We’re Looking For • 2–4 years’ experience in international B2B sales, trading, business development, account management or similar commercial roles Experience within FMCG or OOH. • You must be happy to spend 30–40 per cent of your time travelling to visit prospective clients and attend trade fairs across the Benelux, Scandinavia and the UK. • Proven ability to build relationships and close deals. • Commercially curious with an interest in markets, pricing, supply chains and opportunities. • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, hands-on and keen to take ownership. • A natural connector who enjoys meeting people and building networks. • Strong communication and negotiation skills. • Fluent in Dutch and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. • I’m keen to learn about the pet care industry and grow alongside Zovea Pet Care.

Core Responsibilities

Identify and develop commercial opportunities, manage the sales process from prospecting through negotiation and closing, and build lasting customer and partner relationships. Monitor market and trading trends, manage a sales pipeline, travel to client visits and trade fairs, and contribute ideas to the company’s commercial growth.

Requirements

Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience in international B2B sales, trading, business development, account management, or a similar commercial role, with FMCG or out-of-home experience. They should be fluent in Dutch and English, skilled at building relationships and closing deals, commercially curious and proactive, and willing to travel 30–40% of the time.
