DeltaQuad develops advanced VTOL UAV systems for defence, public safety and commercial operators worldwide. Our multidisciplinary R&D team develops reliable products that operate in some of the world's most demanding environments. As our products and engineering organization continue to evolve, we're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a hands-on mentality. Someone who can move quickly from concept to prototype, knows what it takes to bring electronics into reliable series production, and enjoys helping other engineers grow. The role As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll take ownership of the architecture, development and integration of electronic hardware across our UAV platforms. You'll work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Software, Systems Engineering, Quality and Production to translate product requirements into robust, manufacturable electronic designs. We are looking for someone who can move comfortably between architecture, hands-on engineering and technical leadership. One day you might be debugging a prototype or reviewing a PCB design; the next, you'll be guiding an external development partner or helping a junior engineer solve a complex technical problem. Rapid prototyping is an important part of how we work. You should be comfortable making pragmatic engineering decisions, building and testing quickly, learning from failures and iterating towards a reliable production-ready solution. This is also not purely an individual contributor role. As one of the senior engineers in the team, you'll play an important part in further developing our electrical engineering capability and supporting the growth of junior and medior engineers. Your responsibilities Design and develop complex electronic hardware for our UAV systems. Define electronic architectures from initial concept through industrialization and production. Design, review and troubleshoot analogue and digital electronics, power electronics and communication interfaces. Take ownership of PCB architecture, schematic design and PCB development. Rapidly develop and validate prototypes to prove technical concepts and reduce development risk. Work closely with Embedded Software Engineers on hardware/software integration. Support RF design and integration, including antenna and communication-system considerations. Apply EMC/EMI principles throughout the development process. Perform hands-on testing, debugging, validation and root-cause analysis. Design for reliability and ensure products can perform consistently in demanding real-world environments. Apply DfM, DfT and DfA principles to transition designs successfully into production. Support products throughout their lifecycle, from early prototypes to series production and field improvements. Work with external engineering companies, suppliers and manufacturing partners, providing clear technical direction and reviewing their work. Coordinate external development activities and ensure technical deliverables meet DeltaQuad's requirements. Contribute experience from high-volume or consumer-product manufacturing to improve scalability, quality and cost. Mentor junior and medior Electrical Engineers and help further develop the capabilities of the team. What we're looking for Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline. 10+ years of professional experience in embedded electronics or electronic product development. A strong track record developing complex electronic products from concept through production. Strong PCB design experience, including architecture, schematic design and multi-layer PCB development. Strong understanding of embedded electronics and hardware/software integration. Knowledge and practical experience with RF systems and EMC/EMI. Strong hands-on debugging and root-cause-analysis skills. Experience with rapid prototyping and an ability to move quickly from idea to working hardware. Experience designing for reliability, manufacturability and testability. Experience bringing products into high-volume or series production, ideally within consumer electronics or another scaled manufacturing environment. Experience working with external engineering partners, suppliers and contract manufacturers. Ability to lead technical work packages and coordinate external development activities. Comfortable balancing several technical priorities and projects simultaneously. Ability and willingness to coach and guide less experienced engineers. A pragmatic, hands-on engineering mindset. Professional proficiency in English. Nice to have Experience developing highly integrated products such as smartphones, communication devices, IoT products, robotics or advanced embedded systems. Experience with UAVs, aerospace or defence products. Experience with high-speed digital design. Knowledge of wireless communication technologies. Experience working with electronics in harsh or safety-critical environments. Experience taking electronics from low-volume prototyping into larger-scale manufacturing. Experience working with international manufacturing partners, particularly in Asia. What success looks like You are someone people turn to when an electronics problem becomes complex. You challenge suppliers, guide external engineering partners and help junior and medior engineers become better at what they do. Ultimately, you help DeltaQuad build an Electrical Engineering team and electronics platform that can support the next generation of our UAV systems. Core Responsibilities

Own the architecture, design, prototyping, integration, testing, and production transition of electronic hardware across UAV platforms, collaborating with engineering, quality, production, suppliers, and external development partners. Provide technical leadership by coordinating external work, resolving complex engineering challenges, and mentoring junior and mid-level electrical engineers.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline, at least 10 years of experience in embedded electronics or electronic product development, and a strong record of taking complex products from concept through production. Candidates should bring strong PCB, embedded hardware, RF, EMC/EMI, prototyping, debugging, reliability, and manufacturing expertise, along with technical leadership and professional English proficiency.
