Welding Inspector 📍 Roermond, Netherlands (On-site role) 📅 Start date: 05th October (on-site) ⏳ Contract: until end of 2026, with possible extension 💶 Daily rate: 450 EUR/day (all-in) Laptop and PPE provided by the Client. Accommodation not included, but we can help you find one. We are looking for a Welding Inspector to support a major offshore wind project. Scope of Work Quality inspection and surveillance of welding activities during monopile fabrication at the yard/site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspection of welds throughout all fabrication stages (fit-up, root, interpass, final) Verify welding activities are carried out in accordance with approved WPS/WPQR and welder qualifications Witness and review NDT activities (UT, MT, PT, RT) and assess results against acceptance criteria Identify weld defects and non-conformities, raising NCRs and tracking corrective actions Review welding documentation, including welder certificates, consumable certificates, and traceability records Monitor compliance with applicable codes and standards (DNV, ISO, EN) Liaise with the Contractor's welding/QC team on inspection findings and required corrective actions Participate in site quality meetings and joint inspections/walk-downs Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and maintain records in the project's quality tracking system Support load-out inspections and final documentation review Requirements Degree in Engineering (Structural / Mechanical / Civil / Offshore) or equivalent technical background Welding inspection certification (e.g. CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS-CWI, IWE, IWI-C, or equivalent) – preferred Experience in offshore fabrication (monopile experience is a plus) Solid knowledge of welding processes, NDT methods, and heavy steel structures Ability to read and interpret welding procedures, drawings, and inspection documentation Knowledge of standards (DNV, ISO, EN) Experience working with contractors and project teams Good English communication skills We Provide ✈️ Laptop (PC) 🦺 PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) 📈 Long-term cooperation opportunity ✅ Simple recruitment process – no unnecessary HR interviews 📩 We encourage you to apply! Core Responsibilities

Inspect and monitor welding activities during monopile fabrication, verify compliance with approved procedures and applicable standards, and witness and assess non-destructive testing. Document findings, raise and track non-conformities, coordinate corrective actions with contractor teams, and support quality meetings, load-out inspections, and final documentation review.

Requirements

A degree in structural, mechanical, civil, or offshore engineering, or an equivalent technical background, is requested; welding inspection certification such as CSWIP, AWS-CWI, IWE, or IWI-C is preferred. Candidates should have offshore fabrication experience, strong knowledge of welding, NDT, heavy steel structures, drawings and inspection documentation, applicable DNV/ISO/EN standards, and good English communication skills.
