About The Job Hoofddorp/Hybrid Global Sourcing Manager Dairy Proteins drives value creation through deep market intelligence, supplier innovation, and strategic stakeholder engagement across geographies. Operating in a complex, fast-paced environment, the role is pivotal in delivering sustainable business results, mitigating risk, and advancing Danone’s ESG and Impact Journey objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Category Ownership Define, lead and maintain the global category strategy for Whey and Proteins, aligned with business priorities and stakeholder needs. Translate business strategy, market insights and cost structure analysis into clear and actionable sourcing strategies. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of productivity and value-creation initiatives. Global Sourcing Execution Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including go-to-market strategy, tendering, negotiation, and supplier award decisions. Ensure strategic supplier engagement post-tender to deliver long-term value. Oversee execution of commercial agreements in alignment with legal and compliance standards. Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement Influence and collaborate with senior internal stakeholders across Business Partners, R&I, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Legal. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, leveraging SRM to drive innovation and performance. Represent Danone externally with suppliers, farmers, industry boards, and regulatory bodies. ESG & Impact Contribution Champion ESG initiatives within the category, embedding sustainability metrics into supplier partnerships. More info here About you You are a proactive and collaborative procurement professional with strong analytical skills and experience in dairy ingredients, proteins, or a related category. You communicate confidently with diverse stakeholders, turn market insights into clear actions, and enjoy driving sustainable value in a dynamic international environment. Furthermore you have 7+ years of experience in strategic procurement (fast‑paced CPG/ingredients); delivers on cost, risk, and service. Global/ EU experience with direct categories. Experienced in autonomously managing all procurement aspects of a category. Entrepreneurial problem‑solver; thrives in pace and ambiguity; creates value under constraints. Pragmatic, hands‑on; balances near‑term delivery with long‑term strategy. Fluent in English; effective with executive stakeholders and external partners. Key Skills And Competencies Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills to navigate complex organizational landscapes. Highly collaborative with the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and cultures, and to engage and challenge higher business stakeholders. We offer The salary range for this role is 85 - 110 gross annually (including 8% holiday allowance). Core Responsibilities

Build strategic stakeholder and supplier relationships, drive value and innovation, manage category risks, and embed sustainability and ESG objectives in sourcing.

Requirements

Requires 7+ years of strategic procurement experience in a fast-paced consumer packaged goods or ingredients environment, with global or EU experience in direct categories and autonomous category management. Candidates should bring dairy ingredients, protein, or related category experience, strong analytical and stakeholder-influencing skills, a pragmatic and entrepreneurial approach, and fluency in English.
