Now Hiring The Winchester Recreation Department is hiring Basketball League Officials for Boys and Girls Grades 3-8 Join our team as a Basketball Official for our Youth Recreation League! We're looking for enthusiastic, responsible individuals aged 16 and up to help create a fun, fair, and safe environment for young athletes. No certification required—just a love for the game and a commitment to sportsmanship. Season: December 1, 2025 – March 21, 2026 Pay: $17.50-$25.00 per hour Boys and Girls Schedule: Saturdays, 7:30am-3:00pm Times are subject to change based on number of teams/schedule Who: Must be 16 years of age or older This position plays a key leadership role in shaping our youngest athletes’ first experience with basketball. You’ll guide and mentor parent volunteer coaches, lead age-appropriate skill sessions, and supervise one of our program sites to ensure a positive and well-run environment. Requirements

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, have a basic understanding of basketball rules, and attend staff training or meetings. Strong communication and decision-making skills, the ability to remain calm and impartial, reliable transportation, and Saturday availability are required; prior basketball experience is preferred but not required.
