We’re looking for you! Do you enjoy helping people, solving problems and making sure everything is taken care of down to the last detail? As a Customer Care Representative / Tour Advisor at Boat Bike Tours, you support our guests throughout their journey with us: from their first questions and booking to their travel preparations and return home. No two days are the same. One moment you may be helping a guest with a booking question, and the next you are coordinating a last-minute change with one of our international partners. You keep an overview, set priorities and make sure our guests feel well informed and supported. What will you do? As part of our Customer Care team, you handle bookings and guest questions and work closely with colleagues and partners to find the best possible solutions. Your Responsibilities Include Managing bookings, reservations, changes, payments and cancellations Helping guests via email, online chat and phone with questions about their booking and upcoming trip Coordinating bookings and operational details with our international tour operators and travel partners Handling rebookings, itinerary changes and unexpected situations in a calm and solution-oriented way Keeping customer and booking information accurate and up to date in Salesforce and other internal systems Making sure confirmations, travel information and other guest communications are sent correctly and on time Setting priorities during busy periods and working closely with other teams to resolve issues The work is varied and sometimes fast-paced, especially during our cycling season. Your goal is always the same: making sure our guests feel well looked after throughout their journey with Boat Bike Tours. Your team You will join our international Customer Care team, with colleagues based in the Netherlands, Germany and the United States. We work as one team, share knowledge and help each other when things get busy. You'll also work closely with colleagues in Operations, Product, Sales and Finance. What are we looking for? We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes responsibility and feels comfortable in a dynamic international environment. You Have an MBO or HBO level of thinking and working, preferably with a background in tourism, hospitality or a commercial field Are customer-focused, organized and able to switch easily between different tasks and priorities Communicate clearly and professionally in Dutch and English; German is a plus Feel comfortable communicating with international guests, colleagues and travel partners Stay calm and keep an overview when things get busy or plans suddenly change Work accurately and pay attention to detail Have experience with CRM or other digital systems, or are comfortable learning new systems quickly; experience with Salesforce or ClickUp is a plus Are a team player with a practical, hands-on mentality Are available Monday through Friday and willing to work approximately 4–6 Saturdays during the high season (May–October), shared across the team Experience in the travel industry is helpful, but just as important to us is that you are curious, eager to learn and genuinely enjoy helping people. Core Responsibilities
Manage guest bookings, reservations, changes, payments, and cancellations, and respond to questions through email, chat, and phone. Coordinate trip details with international partners, maintain accurate records and communications, and resolve changes or unexpected issues in collaboration with internal teams.
Requirements
The role calls for MBO or HBO-level education or equivalent working ability, preferably in tourism, hospitality, or a commercial field, along with a customer-focused and organized approach. Candidates should communicate professionally in Dutch and English, work accurately under pressure, be comfortable with digital systems, and be available on weekdays plus approximately four to six Saturdays during the high season.
