As an Application Engineer at Yokogawa, you’ll build and maintain the systems that is the digital foundation of some of the world’s most essential industries — ensuring that safety, stability, and sustainability go hand in hand.

You’ll be part of the Solution Engineering Team within the Operations NL Team — a diverse group of specialists with complementary skillsets and a shared mindset.

You will be the responsible person for installing and maintaining our SCADA system CI-SERVER.

data historian and the products that rely on this data historian. You will also be the responsible person for our custom made applications.

As Application Engineer you will not only support above mentioned solutions you will also be trained to maintain our data historian and custom made applications.

Once you gather enough knowledge you will join our 24/7 standby team to support our clients 24/7. In practical this means that you are on duty for 1 week every 4 to 5 weeks. During this period, you can be called to support.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Application Engineer, you’ll:

• Install and maintain our CI Server systems.
• Maintain and support our data historian and custom made applications, based on VB, C# or the like.
• Implement modifications to customers systems in a live environment.
• Maintain the customer systems to be reliable and ready 24/7. This also includes handling assigned emergency calls.
• Coordinate and verify work prepared by our engineering centres in Romania and India
• Support your customer with technical questions or upgrades.
• Creating and maintaining as-built documentation that ensures clarity and continuity.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

You’re someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and responsibility. You understand the demands of industrial environments and bring a reliable-by-design mindset to everything you do.

You bring:

• An MBO / HBO  degree in process automation/control, mechatronics or equivalent
• A communicative personality enjoys working in a team of technical experts
• A willingness to travel within the Netherlands frequently and from to time to time abroad
• (Basic) programming skills, like JAVA, VB or C#
• self-motivated in solving problems and searching for new knowledge
• A structured, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication skills in either Dutch or English.
• A willingness to deliver 24/7 support on rotating baes.
• A solution-focused, flexible attitude and customer-centric mindset.
