Transport Coordinator

About the Role  

As a Transport Coordinator, you coordinate the day-to-day movement of goods between loading and unloading locations across the Benelux. You are a key point of contact for Essity’s business teams, transport hubs, carriers and warehouses, helping ensure that transport operations run smoothly and issues are resolved effectively.  

Alongside transport coordination, you will support warehouse activities at two external warehouse locations in Belgium. This gives you the opportunity to work across transport and warehousing while collaborating with an international network of internal and external partners.  

What You Will Do  

• Transport Coordination: Coordinate purchased transport from loading through to delivery locations across the Benelux.  
• Operational Support: Act as the first point of escalation for transport issues and support the resolution of day-to-day operational and IT-related challenges.  
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain close contact with Essity business teams, transport hubs, carriers, warehouses, Customer Service and Supply Service.  
• Issue Management: Manage non-conformities involving processes, systems, carriers and master data, and help resolve issues identified during the planning process.  
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor relevant transport, distribution and warehouse KPIs, including service levels and inventory accuracy.  
• Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate daily activities with external third-party logistics providers at two warehouse locations in Belgium.  
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities, propose improvements and contribute to the development of transport planning and warehousing processes.  

Who You Are  

• You have relevant education or equivalent practical experience in logistics, transport, supply chain or a closely related field.  
• You have experience in a transport, logistics or supply chain environment. Experience working with carriers, logistics companies or third-party logistics providers is an advantage.  
• You are comfortable working with operational information, master data and KPIs, using your analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively.  
• You are proactive, well-organized and comfortable coordinating multiple priorities. You communicate clearly and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  
• You are fluent in English, as the role involves international collaboration. French is a strong advantage when working with the warehouse operations in Belgium.

More About Cuijk  

The position is primarily home-based, with approximately one day per week at our office in Cuijk. These office days offer an opportunity to connect with colleagues and align operational priorities. From Cuijk, you will support transport activities across the Benelux and collaborate with internal teams, carriers, transport hubs and external warehouse partners in Belgium.
