At Niacet, a Kerry Company, we are looking for a QA Specialist to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management Systems within a dynamic manufacturing environment serving the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The QA Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, continuous improvement and day-to-day execution of site quality systems and controlled documentation processes. The role supports certification compliance, audit readiness, customer documentation requests and the effective follow-up of quality system activities within an international manufacturing environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance are consistently achieved.Located in Niacet B.V, Tiel and reporting to the Quality Manager.
As a QA Specialist, you will support the effective management of quality systems, controlled documentation, certification requirements and customer quality requests. Working closely with teams across Quality, QC, Production, ESHQ, Sales and Customer Service, you will help ensure our processes remain compliant, audit-ready and aligned with both customer expectations and regulatory standards.

What will you be doing?
- Maintain and continuously improve the site Quality Management System, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records and supporting quality documentation.
- Support compliance with applicable food, feed and pharmaceutical quality standards and regulations, including FSSC 22000, GMP+, ISO 9001, GMP and relevant FDA requirements.
- Coordinate document control activities, including the creation, review, approval, revision, periodic review and archiving of controlled documents.
- Manage and respond to customer quality documentation requests, questionnaires, declarations, certificates, specifications and other quality-related information.
- Support the preparation, execution and follow-up of internal, customer, supplier, certification and regulatory audits.
- Coordinate and support quality system processes, including deviations, non-conformances, CAPA, change control, risk assessments and effectiveness reviews.
- Collect, review and maintain quality records and supporting evidence to ensure ongoing audit readiness, certification compliance and customer assurance.
- Support supplier and external service provider quality documentation activities, including quality agreements, certifications and questionnaires.
- Prepare quality reports, KPI inputs, trend analyses and management review data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the delivery of training related to quality systems, GMP awareness, documentation requirements and certification standards.
- Monitor updates to relevant regulations, standards, customer requirements and internal procedures, supporting their implementation within the Quality Management System.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Control, Production, ESHQ, Sales, Customer Service and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, timely responses and successful delivery of quality system priorities and customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support initiatives that enhance quality performance, compliance and operational efficiency.
What do you need to be successful?
- Experience in Quality Assurance, quality systems or document control within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the food, feed, pharmaceutical, chemical or ingredients industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as FSSC 22000, GMP+, ISO 9001 and GMP.
- Experience supporting audits, CAPA, change control, deviations and non-conformance processes.
- Strong organisational skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- HBO+ level or degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Quality Management or a related discipline.
- Proficient in managing quality documentation, reports and compliance records.
Core Responsibilities
The QA Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving the site's Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with food and pharmaceutical regulations. They will coordinate document control, manage customer quality requests, and support internal and external audits.
Requirements
Candidates should have experience in Quality Assurance or document control within a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry. A degree at the HBO+ level in a relevant scientific field and proficiency in both Dutch and English are required.
