For our Ipsos Global Influentials (IGI) team in the Amsterdam office, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic
Data Science Manager - IGI
Our Audience Measurement team is working on a diverse set of media projects, including passive electronic measurement of cross-media behavior, large national and international TV, print and behavior studies and ad-hoc media studies. Data processing, data integration, data modelling, complex analyses etc. are an essential part of our deliveries. In this role, you are a cooperating foreman/woman in the IGI team to support our deliveries and shape our methodologies.
The following activities are part of your tasks and responsibilities:
- Managing the data people in close collaboration with the Service Line lead.
- Developing and maintaining production quality data science systems
- Manipulating complex data from different sources and data processing in R, Python, SQL and Google Cloud Platform
- Performing complex statistical analyses and prediction models for media research
- Support to the researchers in the team
- Performing checks on the results before delivery to the research team
- Clear visualization and communication of the results to internal and/or external customers
- Contributing to the renewal and improvement of existing structures and processes

Your skills & experience
- Management skills
- Programming background and experience in Python and R
- Experience in git with collaborative development of data science workflows / products
- A statistical background and affinity with research methods and techniques such as regression, segmentation, data fusion
- Experience in media research
- Skilled in learning software packages
- Experience working in the cloud especially GCP
- Experience working with automated production systems

Core Responsibilities
The Data Science Manager will lead the data team in collaboration with the Service Line lead to develop production-quality data science systems. They are responsible for performing complex statistical analyses, managing data processing workflows, and communicating insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Candidates must have an academic background with strong programming skills in Python, R, and SQL, along with experience in cloud platforms like GCP. Proven experience in media research, statistical modeling, and team management is essential for this role.
