Roomservice brings this ultimate experience to you in the comfort and privacy of your own room. Responsibilities As a Camelia & Roomservice trainee, you will have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the largest F&B hotel in the Netherlands. Amongst other tasks, you will be responsible for welcoming and guiding guests and providing service at a high level. During this internship, you will learn all aspects of the F&B departments. Your main tasks will be: Operational tasks, including advising guests on menu choices, serving dishes and serving our guests during their stay at Hotel Okura Amsterdam according to the standards set by the hotel (in accordance with The Leading Hotels of the World standards); Maintaining excellent contact with guests; Performing mise en place activities; Following guidelines regarding safety, occupational health and safety, hygiene and HACCP; Working in a multicultural environment at a high level. You will work in shifts throughout 7 days per week, with working hours from 06:00 – 14:00, 07:00 – 15:00 or 15:00 – 23:00. You will work 5 days per week, 7.6 hours per day. You are also available to work on public holidays. It is possible to work on your thesis or school assignments one day per week. What do we offer? Core Responsibilities

Welcome and guide guests, recommend menu choices, serve food and beverages, and maintain excellent guest contact in Le Camelia and Roomservice. Complete mise en place and follow hotel service standards, safety, occupational health, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines.

Requirements

Applicants must be students at a hotel or other school in the Netherlands, hospitable and representative, attentive to detail, flexible with working days and hours, and living near Amsterdam. They should have a passion for hospitality and excellent spoken and written Dutch and/or English.
