Location: Zaandam & hybrid | Start: October 12th | Duration: 8 months, | Hours: 16-24 hours per week | Rate: Indicative rate is € 120 per hour. We are looking for an Interim Energy Transition Consultant to help shape and drive Ahold Delhaize Europe’s Energy Transition Program. About the assignment The goal of Ahold Delhaize Europe’s Energy Transition Program is clear: to roll out carefully designed energy ecosystems that create positive business cases and unlock the full benefits of decarbonized transport. In this role, you will operate in a highly international and strategic environment, working across multiple European markets and collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Your impact mobilizing and coordinating internal stakeholders across Logistics, Construction, Technical teams, Real Estate, Facility Management and Tech ensuring alignment across strategic stakeholders and decision-makers managing and steering third-party advisors conducting and summarizing regulatory and compliance assessments to define applicable local energy and legislative requirements setting up governance and reporting structures for SteerCo and EU leadership tracking roadmap progress and proactively identifying, mitigating and escalating risks or delays where needed monitoring analyses and feasibility studies to ensure scalability and capture synergies across markets building robust business cases and securing EU leadership approval for project pipeline execution initiating, coordinating and tracking project pipeline execution Who we are looking for proven experience in energy transition, infrastructure, mobility, sustainability or complex transformation programs strong program and stakeholder management skills in an international environment experience working in complex matrix organizations with multiple senior stakeholders the ability to translate studies and analyses into business cases, governance materials and execution plans experience with regulatory, compliance and legislative topics related to energy ecosystems or decarbonization confidence in steering external advisors and challenging output where needed a hands-on mindset combined with strategic insight excellent communication skills in English Interested? Core Responsibilities

Coordinate stakeholders across European markets and manage external advisors to advance Ahold Delhaize Europe’s Energy Transition Program. Assess regulatory requirements, establish governance and reporting, develop business cases, monitor risks and feasibility, and coordinate execution of the approved project pipeline.

Requirements

Candidates should have proven experience in energy transition, infrastructure, mobility, sustainability, or complex transformation programs, along with strong program and stakeholder management skills in international, matrixed organizations. They should be able to translate analyses into business cases and execution plans, understand relevant energy regulations and compliance, steer external advisors, and combine a hands-on approach with strategic insight.
