About the role We are seeking a results-oriented Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize supply chain operations at our Apeldoorn facility. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will lead a team of 6 and take ownership of the full end to end supply chain, from material management and production planning to inventory, warehousing, and shipping, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with company goals. Key responsibilities Team leadership: Lead, mentor and develop your team to achieve high performance, and address skill gaps through coaching and development plans. Strategic planning: Analyze capacity and performance to align forecasts and schedules, and act as a stakeholder and leader in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) optimization. Procurement oversight: Manage procurement and contracting of non-centrally managed materials and services. Inventory optimization: Analyze inventory metrics to increase turnover, reduce waste, and secure timely, cost-efficient material availability. Operational excellence: Review, challenge, and enhance supply chain methods, with a focus on simplification, automation and standardization. Continuous improvement: Map the end-to-end supply chain process, implement systems and process improvements that reflect best practices, and upgrade demand forecasting and Advanced Planning & Scheduling tools. Performance management: Meet or exceed supply chain performance metrics, including OTIF, lead time, and inventory levels. Organizational development: Assess and reconfigure the Apeldoorn supply chain organizational structure. Skills, experience & knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field. Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain roles, including at least 5 years in a supervisory position within a manufacturing environment. Strong decision-making skills related to SIOP processes, make-or-buy decisions, and similar matters. Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred; familiarity with Advanced Planning and Scheduling systems is a plus. APICS or similar professional certification is a plus. Strong analytical skills, and exposure to project management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization. A high degree of autonomy combined with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, bridge differences, and get things done. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, including comfort with scenario modeling. Results-driven, with a sense of urgency and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Professional-level proficiency in Dutch, spoken and written. A valid permit to work in the Netherlands. Why join us? Core Responsibilities

Lead a six-person team and oversee the end-to-end supply chain at the Apeldoorn facility, including material management, production planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and shipping. Improve planning systems and processes, optimize performance and inventory, and develop the local supply chain organization.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field, at least 10 years of supply chain experience, and at least five years in a supervisory role in manufacturing. Candidates should bring strong planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills, professional-level Dutch, and a valid permit to work in the Netherlands; SAP experience is preferred and APICS certification is a plus.
