Your daily job As a Manufacturing Manager at AME, you lead our factory organization across Electronics Manufacturing, System Assembly, and Mechanical Manufacturing (plastics injection moulding). You are accountable for the overall factory performance in a low-volume, high-mix environment where quality, flexibility, and reliability are critical. You lead approximately 80 FTE through 4 Production Managers, report to the Operations Manager, and are part of the Operations Management Team. In this role, you: Lead multiple manufacturing departments and ensure strong execution on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Efficiency. Drive factory performance in terms of on-time delivery, productivity, and first-time-right quality Build an engaged workforce and a positive working environment, role-modelling AME’s core values: togetherness, commitment, and excellence Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence (Lean, Kaizen, standard work, problem solving) Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Engineering/Industrialization, and Supply Chain to remove bottlenecks and prevent recurring issues Oversee the Service department for internal and external reject handling, ensuring fast containment and structural improvements Align with the Facility department to support manufacturing continuity and operational stability Who are you Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field Proven experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role, preferably in electronics or mechatronics Experience leading multiple teams through managers (manager-of-managers) Strong understanding of low-volume / high-mix manufacturing environments Experience with performance management systems (SQDCE) and structured daily management Solid track record in continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen, root cause analysis, CAPA) Strong people leadership skills: coaching, accountability, communication, and change management Able to work effectively in a cross-functional and dynamic environment Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus) Why joining AME? Core Responsibilities

Lead the factory organization across electronics manufacturing, system assembly, and mechanical manufacturing, managing approximately 80 employees through four Production Managers. Improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency through operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, service and reject handling, and coordination with Facilities.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field and proven senior manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in electronics or mechatronics, including leadership through managers. Candidates should understand low-volume, high-mix manufacturing and structured performance management, have a strong continuous-improvement record and people leadership skills, and communicate excellently in English; Dutch is a plus.
