In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring efficient and high-quality production of critical aerospace components, focusing on precision finishing processes such as honing, grinding, polishing, and benchwork. You will contribute to projects where quality, safety, and reliability are essential, supporting components used in highly demanding environments. Your Responsibilities: Implement materials and process methods from concept to full production readiness, including precision finishing operations (honing, grinding, polishing, benchwork). Ensure robust and repeatable processes using Zero Defect Manufacturing principles. Provide hands-on technical support for production, including process optimization and troubleshooting. Resolve internal and supplier quality issues and reduce non-conformities. Act as a subject matter expert in precision finishing and surface treatment processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean manufacturing). Apply root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Deliver measurable performance aligned with operational and program objectives. Maintain strong collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Your Profile: Solid experience in surface finishing processes such as honing, grinding, polishing, and benchwork in a regulated or safety-critical environment (aerospace is a plus). Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles. Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO9000 / AS9100. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a quality-driven mindset. Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively in an international environment. Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented. Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken). Core Responsibilities

Develop and implement precision-finishing processes from concept through production readiness, ensuring robust, repeatable, high-quality aerospace manufacturing. Provide production and supplier support, resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement and corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

Requires at least three years of manufacturing engineering experience, a degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field, and hands-on experience with precision surface-finishing processes. Candidates should understand Lean manufacturing and ISO 9000 or AS9100, have strong analytical and stakeholder collaboration skills, and be fluent in Dutch and English.
