Purpose Of The Role The Senior Payroll Analyst, under the direction of the Europe Payroll Manager, is responsible for overseeing the production of all aspects of the company’s payroll by setting department direction, establishing objectives, and ensuring compliance with all legislation and company policies. Principal Accountabilities Manage a payroll administrator, provide training and coaching to team members and assists in monitoring workloads and high standards of work, quality and organizational performance is achieved Working as part of the team to carry out a wide range of payroll tasks including but not limited to: Preparing and managing Netherlands payroll Collecting accurate payroll related data Processing weekly timecards in the payroll system Ensuring appropriate approval of employee pay elements Salary sheet and report creation Submission of payment authorisation or payment file to accounting to meet payroll deadlines General ledger payroll booking information provided to accounting team within agreed deadlines Monthly and end of year external reporting requirements Collaborate with the HR team to ensure alignment and compliance of systems and data, maintaining and updating all data associated with payroll Assisting the Financial Controller with reporting tasks and audit/compliance related activity Provide support with payroll queries to the wider business, which may include attending meetings to clarify payroll-related queries and address payroll-associated issues Ensure that TEAM remains in compliance with all local payroll regulations. Ensure that internal key control are effective and actively performed. Collaborate and request legal consultation when necessary. Collaborate and work closely with HR and accounting teams. Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers and promotions is accurate and timely, in line with the correct authority requirements. To be flexible and carry out any duties within your skills and capabilities to support the payroll team and the wider business Job Title: Senior Payroll Analyst Reports to: Payroll Manager Europe Responsible for: Nil Staff Location: Netherlands- Vlissingen Ensure full support for the payroll function is provided to ensure accurate and timely processes are followed to meet payroll deadlines Ensure all relevant information is processed, approved, stored and maintained correctly and compliantly to meet internal control and procedure requirements Key point of contact for external payroll support providers Skills And Knowledge Desired Expert knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation and social security regulations. Knowledge of labour law, collective labour agreements and employment contracts. Microsoft software knowledge i.e. Excel, outlook, windows explorer, internet explorer. Understanding of benefits administration, company cars, meal vouchers, eco vouchers, and other benefits. Working Conditions Working as part of a team Occasional travel to other TEAM locations Systems And Equipment Used External payroll platforms Desktop/laptop computers MS Office etc. Languages Fluent in English, Dutch Other Information Embrace the Core Values and follow them at all times Effective communication and interpersonal skills is a must Unless exceptional circumstances prevail no holiday will be approved during payroll critical periods and that during these periods you will be expected to work overtime when requested to do so
Core Responsibilities
Oversee Netherlands payroll operations, including payroll data collection, timecard processing, pay approvals, payment submissions, accounting entries, and required reporting. Lead and support payroll team members, maintain compliant payroll records and controls, coordinate with HR, accounting, legal advisers, and external providers, and respond to payroll queries.
Requirements
Expert knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation and social security regulations is desired, along with knowledge of labor law, collective labor agreements, employment contracts, and benefits administration. The role also calls for Microsoft Office proficiency, fluent English and Dutch, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
