As a Software Designer C#/C++/JAVA, you develop software for high-tech products and machines. In this role, you support our customers in the semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, and medical equipment industries, within the triangle of Nijmegen, Enschede, and Zwolle, by delivering smart, sustainable, and reliable software solutions. Your software expertise plays an essential role in bringing these high-tech solutions to life. What excites you as a Software Designer (C#, C++, Java)? You are the expert who designs, develops, and tests, but also likes to think along, connect, and contribute to team results, and who likes to: Translating customer and system requirements into innovative, clear, and feasible concepts during the conceptual phase of projects. Acting as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective. Taking responsibility for a module/subsystem throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Ensuring software quality, scalability and maintainability through sound engineering practices. Applying strong communication skills to effectively guide and mentor a team of engineers, helping them grow and deliver high-quality results. Sounds good? We’d love to tell you more… Your future workplace This is what you bring to the table You have a technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering. You have 7+ years of experience in technical software development, gained in various roles and across diverse product environments and/or projects. Over the past 4–5 years, you have worked within technical domains such as Semicon, Medical, or Analytical. You have experience with at least two of the following programming languages: C#, C++, or Java. You have knowledge of and/or experience with various development methodologies and techniques such as Design Patterns, UML, and Agile, and you keep your technical expertise up to date. You are looking for an environment where you can apply these developments in practice as well. Based on your experience, you are able to coach junior engineers. You are a team player and keep the common goal in mind. You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written. You hold a valid European driver’s license and are willing to travel. Core Responsibilities

Translate customer and system requirements into feasible software concepts and robust designs, then develop, test, and integrate software throughout the development lifecycle. Take responsibility for a software module or subsystem, ensure quality and maintainability, and guide and mentor engineers while collaborating with architects and engineering teams.

Requirements

A technical bachelor's or master's degree is preferred, along with at least seven years of technical software development experience and four to five years in domains such as semiconductor, medical, or analytical technology. Candidates should have experience with at least two of C#, C++, and Java, knowledge of design patterns, UML, and Agile, the ability to coach junior engineers, good spoken and written Dutch and English, and a valid European driver's license with willingness to travel.
