For Bike Europe, the leading international B2B media platform for the bicycle industry, we are looking for a Data analyst.

Are you technically skilled, understand how data flows from source to dashboard, and want to build the infrastructure that an entire team of researchers, analysts and editors can rely on? For Bike Europe, we are looking for a Data Engineer who combines data analysis with technology, automation and smart tooling.

You ensure that data from different sources is reliably available and usable for analysis and content. You build and improve data flows, automate processes and think about how data can be used intelligently. You look beyond the technology itself and also consider the user: what are you building, and how can you make sure it works intuitively and looks good?

You will work for Bike Europe, as part of the Telecompaper team: an experienced and highly driven team of eight professionals focused on the telecom and media sectors. You’ll learn the trade through hands-on experience and on-the-job training, working closely with experienced colleagues while gradually taking on your own responsibilities.

What will you do?

• Collect, process and analyze data from different sources.

• Build and improve ETL processes and data flows.

• Automate recurring data and research processes.

• Work with Python and/or SQL.

• Develop web scraping solutions and custom tooling.

• Build and improve dashboards and data visualizations.

• Explore and work with tools such as Tableau, DisplayR and Alteryx.

• Use AI/ML and APIs for data and content enrichment.

• Ensure data is reliable and of high quality.

• Collaborate with researchers, analysts and editors.

What do you bring?

• A completed university degree, preferably with a technical background.

• Experience with Python and/or SQL.

• An affinity with data engineering and automation.

• Experience with ETL processes, web scraping or custom tooling is a plus.

• You are curious about what data tells us about a market.

• You have an eye for UX and care about making what you build intuitive, user-friendly and visually appealing.

• You work accurately and independently.

• You are willing to develop knowledge of telecom, cycling and related markets.

• You have a good command of English and/or Dutch, both written and spoken.
