Description of assignment
Are you an Mbo ICT student interested in servers and virtual environments? During this internship, you’ll get hands-on experience working with IT infrastructure alongside experienced Infrastructure Specialists. You’ll learn how IT environments are built, configured, and managed in practice. Along the way, you will gain hands-on experience with servers, virtual environments, networking, and other infrastructure technologies. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your practical ICT skills and discover which areas of infrastructure interest you most.
Department description
You’ll join the Digital Infra Project Execution team, responsible for rolling out and supporting IT Infrastructure in customer projects. The team makes sure the infrastructure is successfully implemented and continues to work well throughout the customer life cycle. You’ll work alongside around 20 motivated colleagues based in Veghel, the Netherlands, and Pune, India. During your internship, you’ll work together with experienced Infrastructure Specialists and gain insight into how IT infrastructure is implemented and supported within customer projects.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers
- Manage Active Directory and work with Group Policy
- Create separate and secure production environments and configure networks
- Work with VMware ESXi and vCenter
- Explore how vSAN and High Availability clusters work
- Gain practical experience with HPE ProLiant servers and Lenovo desktop computers

- Curious and motivated to learn
- Interested in IT Infrastructure, systems or networking
- Eager to gain hands-on experience in a production environment
- Interested in developing practical ICT skills
- You can choose to focus on areas such as Linux, networking/firewalling or CCTV during your internship
- *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands

- A monthly internship allowance (based on a 40-hour work week):
Mbo: €350 per month - Full commuting allowance, including public transport, depending on whether you have access to free public transport or not

Requirements
Candidates must be enrolled in a Dutch education system and reside in the Netherlands while pursuing an Mbo level 4 ICT degree. You should have a strong interest in IT infrastructure, systems, and networking with a motivation to learn in a production environment.
