As a Human Resources Coordinator, you’re not just providing support to HR department managers – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

As an HR Coordinator, you are responsible for managing HR administrative tasks to ensure an excellent team member experience.

You are responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Managing HR administration, such as contracts, onboarding activities, correspondence, and personnel files
  • Ensuring accurate data entry into HR systems
  • Ensuring compliance with the recruitment and selection process using various recruitment tools
  • Performing monthly checks for payroll processing
  • Conducting training sessions, e.g., New Hire Orientation, facilitate hotel tours, and company presentations
  • Helping to achieve departmental goals
  • Supporting the hotel with departmental training requirements, including induction training, work experience programs, career fairs, and training materials
  • Assisting with and resolving inquiries from team members and management
  • Taking the lead in organizing events and team member recognition initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations and keeping policies up to date
  • Coaching and supporting the HR trainee, together with the Assistant HR Manager

To successfully fulfill this role, we are looking for the following qualities:

  • Previous work experience in 4- or 5-star hotels
  • At least 8 months to 1 year of work or internship experience in a similar HR role; preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Positive work attitude and a natural motivator
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative, "out-of-the-box" thinker
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Committed to delivering a high level of service, both internally and externally
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Flexibility to respond to various work situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within/with various teams
  • Competent IT skills
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Proactive work attitude
  • Ability to adapt communication style to the audience
  • In possession of a valid residence and work permit

 

The following qualities would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of the Collective Labour Agreement  for Hospitality (Horeca CAO)
  • Experience in recruitment
  • Knowledge of the Cobra HR & Payroll system
