Chase Creative provides solutions for Audio Visual rentals and event staging for live and virtual events nationwide. We are seeking individuals based in or near Michigan who would like to apply for freelance opportunities with Chase Creative. Freelance positions are for general AV tech, audio engineer, video engineer, projectionist, camera operator, lighting director, technical director, and other positions as needed. Chase Creative Project Managers and Lead AV Technicians will reach out for freelance technicians who match the skill set listed in your onboarding paperwork. As a freelancer, you’ll have the freedom to work for yourself while partnering with us to deliver exceptional event experiences. Preferred candidates will have a background in audio visual technology, live events, and/or inventory management; and will be able to execute seamless technology solutions for our clients. Responsibilities May Include The ability to operate and troubleshoot AV equipment and systems such as: Audio systems including speakers, mixing consoles, microphones, processing, etc. Video systems with switchers, cameras, computer sources, livestreaming, etc. Lighting systems with LED lights, intelligent lighting instruments, lighting consoles, programming and designing, etc. Rigging including truss, motors, lifts, safety protocol, etc. Projection and display devices, screens, monitors, etc. Audio and video routing Computer integration with AV systems, online streaming platforms, video storage, RTMP, etc. Setup, operation, and teardown of AV equipment for live and virtual events Execute highly polished equipment setup with respect to the venue and its requirements Collaborate with the production team to meet and exceed client expectations Job Performance Skills Include Excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail Experience working with difficult or challenging situations in a fast-paced environment Ability to problem solve and multi-task in a calm and confident manner Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines promptly Hands-on Audio Visual experience preferred MS Office and Apple proficient computer skills Professional appearance and courteous demeanor Limited travel requirements Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime Ability to lift 50lbs or more Ability to work from ladders and lifts To start the application process for Freelance Employment, sign up with us on Lasso here.

Requirements

Candidates should have a background in AV technology and the ability to lift 50lbs and work from ladders. Proficiency in operating mixing consoles, switchers, and lighting consoles is preferred.
