Vacancy Independent working cook Working in a magical environment! Independent working cook 24-38 hours | Planet Awesome Nijmegen You are the flame in our kitchen! As an independent working chef at Planet Awesome, you will ensure taste, speed and consistency on a daily basis. You work with clear recipes, develop new dishes and keep the kitchen tight according to HACCP guidelines. Planet Awesome is an entertainment venue with go-kart track, bowling, karaoke, laser game, glow in the dark golf and good food and beverage service all under one roof. Guests come here for a complete evening out. You make their evening complete with dishes they come back for. This Is What You Will Do Independently preparing and formatting various dishes according to recipe and schedule Developing new dishes and improving existing recipes Ensuring hygiene and safety in the kitchen, according to HACCP standards Monitor stock, prepare orders and coordinate with the head chef Ensuring a clean and organized kitchen Working with the team to keep service running smoothly, including during peak hours and large groups This is you You have a completed cooking education (at least level 3) or similar experience You have at least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen You are creative, have a positive work ethic and a passion for cooking You work neatly and in a structured manner, even when pace is demanded You know the HACCP guidelines and apply them consistently You are flexible, including evenings and weekends What You Get From Us Challenging and varied position in a professional kitchen within a dynamic location Room for your own input and creativity Competitive salary according to Horeca collective bargaining agreement Travel reimbursement Pension plan from the age of 21 Working in an enthusiastic team of colleagues who love pace, quality and humor About Planet Awesome Planet Awesome is the entertainment center of Nijmegen. Core Responsibilities

Prepare dishes independently according to recipes and schedules, develop new dishes, and improve existing recipes. Maintain HACCP-compliant hygiene and safety, monitor stock and orders, keep the kitchen organized, and coordinate with the head chef and team to ensure smooth service.

Requirements

Applicants need completed cooking education at least at level 3 or equivalent experience, and at least two years of professional kitchen experience. They should be creative, organized, familiar with HACCP guidelines, and flexible to work evenings and weekends.
