40 hours per week | Rotterdam Assembly Technician (Assemblagemedewerker Fijnmechanica) Send application Looking for: an Assembly Technician (Assemblagemedewerker Fijnmechanica) for production and assembly of SenseGlove’s state-of-the-art haptic gloves, the Nova 2 and R1 (40 hours/week) Position Overview The Assembly Technician will be involved in the production, sub-assembly, final assembly, and quality control of both the R1 haptic glove and the Nova 2 haptic glove. This role involves fine mechanical work with small, high-precision parts and requires strong technical skills, accuracy, and a sense of responsibility. The Assembly Technician will work in a small production team with close and intensive collaboration, which is closely connected to R&D. The role offers a lot of variety and room for initiative and a pro-active troubleshooting attitude is expected. Production volumes are small-series, not mass production, and the role combines hands-on assembly with continuous improvement and problem-solving. The role offers a lot of opportunity to learn and develop your skills Responsibilities Assembly of mechanical components Assembly with PCBs, wiring, actuators, and related components Sub-assembly and final assembly of high-tech haptic gloves Quality control of externally produced components and sub-assemblies Quality control of the assembled product Who We’re Looking For Is strong in fine mechanics and comfortable working with small components Has hands-on experience with drilling, screwing, soldering, and 3D printing Enjoys working collaboratively in a small team environment that speaks English & Dutch, primarily English. Is motivated by monthly goals and measurable progress Takes ownership and responsibility for their work and product quality Is eager to learn and continuously looks for improvements Holds an MBO or HBO degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a related technical field Is highly solution-oriented and does not get discouraged when things do not work perfectly the first time Is able to independently troubleshoot when challenges arise What we offer? Core Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical components, PCBs, wiring, actuators, and other parts into subassemblies and finished haptic gloves. Inspect externally produced components and completed products for quality, while contributing to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Candidates should have strong fine-mechanical skills and hands-on experience with small components, drilling, screwing, soldering, and 3D printing. An MBO or HBO qualification in mechatronics, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a related technical field is sought, along with a collaborative, responsible, solution-oriented approach and the ability to troubleshoot independently.
