Role Overview Are you ready to take your technical skills offshore and make a real impact in the world of marine navigation? Sperry Marine is on the lookout for a Marine Service Engineer to join either our Antwerp or Vlaardingen-based team. If you're passionate about electronics, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to work with cutting-edge navigation systems aboard vessels around the world — this is your opportunity. What You’ll Do Install, troubleshoot, and test advanced marine systems — including radar, steering, and control systems — aboard ships and onshore. Lead shipboard installations and support sea trials to ensure optimal performance. Deliver hands-on training to crews and build strong customer relationships. Represent Sperry Marine with pride, promoting our products and services globally. Work Pattern & Environment Due to the nature of marine service work, you’ll need to be flexible and ready for: Anti-social hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Overnight stays — sometimes at short notice — depending on vessel schedules and service needs. Offshore travel, including launch services up to 100 miles out and boarding via Jacob’s ladder. Working at heights (up to 60 feet) or in confined spaces, and exposure to varying weather conditions. About You Solid experience in electronics or a technical Associate’s Degree with proven hands-on know-how. A knack for applying electronic and electro-mechanical theory in real-world scenarios. Eligibility for an FCC General Radio Operator’s License with Shipboard Radar Endorsement. Physical readiness to lift 40–50 lbs, climb Jacob’s ladders offshore, and work at heights or in confined spaces. Core Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and test marine navigation, radar, steering, and control systems aboard vessels and onshore, and lead shipboard installations and sea trials. Train vessel crews, support customers, and represent the company and its products globally.

Requirements

Candidates need solid electronics experience or a technical associate degree with proven hands-on ability, and must be eligible for an FCC General Radio Operator’s License with Shipboard Radar Endorsement. They must be physically able to lift 40–50 pounds, climb offshore Jacob’s ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces; marine navigation system experience is an advantage.
