At Swissport Amsterdam B.V. we are looking for a hands-on Fleet Manager who ensures our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) fleet operates at maximum availability, safety and efficiency. Job Deschription As Fleet Manager, you are fully accountable for the performance, availability and proper use of all GSE assets on the platform. Your work directly enables safe and on-time aircraft handling operations. You act as the primary point of contact for station management and external maintenance providers, combining operational oversight with strong asset management expertise. Key Responsibilities Safeguarding availability and operational readiness of the entire GSE fleet Leading and coaching the Fleet Coordinator Managing maintanance companies and suppliers Planning and controlling preventive and corrective maintenance (e.g. via Maximo) Reducing damage and misuse through clear instructions and active follow-up Managing relationships and SLAs with maintenance partners Controlling GSE budgets and preparing business cases for additional equipment Ensuring accurate administration, reporting and invoice approval Driving safety compliance, incident investigations and procedural adherence What You Bring Proven experience in ground handling, technical operations or fleet/asset management Strong leadership skills with operational awareness Structured, analytical and process-driven mindset Experience with maintenance systems and asset planning tools Decisiveness under operational pressure in a 24/7 environment Solid understanding of safety standards and compliance Why this role? Core Responsibilities

Oversee the availability, readiness, safe use, and performance of the ground support equipment fleet, including maintenance planning, supplier relationships, and leadership of the Fleet Coordinator. Control budgets, reporting, administration, and invoice approvals while driving safety compliance, incident investigations, and operational improvements.

Requirements

The role calls for proven experience in ground handling, technical operations, or fleet or asset management, along with strong leadership and operational awareness. Candidates should be analytical and process-driven, familiar with maintenance systems and asset planning tools, decisive under pressure in a 24/7 environment, and knowledgeable about safety standards and compliance.
